Heartbeat - Oh, Lmao That's A Dead Drone

Start from the beginning

"Thad?" Doll questions quietly once she laid eyes on the other worker, clutching her pulse crossbow as he wandered over to them. Also making sure to avoid the few patches of steaming oil that were littered across the concrete along with the scorch marks left by V's rocket spam during yesterday's fight.

"Hey Doll, I uh..." Thad trailed off as his gaze locked onto something behind her, a wandering beam of light from Rebecca's torch revealing more steaming oil.

"Lizzy made you get it, right?" Doll finished for him, her small smirk barely showing itself due to the darkness around them. Said smirk would be wiped off her face when she turned around after noticing Thad gawking at something.

Doll then followed his gaze, turning around to see a huge hole in the wall. It's edges smeared with a large amount of oil and marked with huge scratches.
"What?.. Oh." The red eyed girl managed to say, before getting rudely interrupted by Rebecca practically yelling.

"SEE!?!! I WAS RIGHT!!". The blue eyed girl now gesturing towards the eerie sight with both hands and looking back at other the three drones. Her face a mixture of smugness and, was that fear?

"I was so right, See N?" Rebecca continued her gloating, only to stop when N held up a piece of torn metal about the size of a worker drone with a slightly worried look on his face. The sheet of red metal was stamped with some sort of symbol, along with words that appeared to be printed onto it along with the rest of the container that laid across the room. The original parts of the container were scattered across the warehouse as if the inside of the shipping container had exploded, not exactly a promising thought.

"Uhh... Whatever made that hole in the wall probably did this as well. Not to sure about these markings however." N said, letting the other three come over and have a closer look at the torn section of what was once a shipping container.

[ABSOLUTE SOLVER - REBOOT]

[WARNING]
[IF YOU CAN READ THIS]
[//YOU ARE IN RANGE\\]

"Well that's certainly not foreboding or anything." Rebecca remarked after she read it all, Doll and Thad still looking at the stained sheet while N continued to hold it up. The tallest of the group running his mind to see if he could figure out what any of this meant.

Rebecca rolled her eyes at the two workers who she, with great amounts of restraint. Hadn't killed yet before slinking off towards the lights switch. Leaving Doll and Thad with N, the red eyed drone speaking slowly as she threaded out her thoughts.

"A... Reboot? Would this explain how you grew your head back. With this... Absolute solver?"

"Haha, probably but I mostly avoid thinking about it too hard." N answered back, finally discarding the sheet of metal once Thad put up a thumbs up. The jock pausing a second later as a thought came to his mind.

"Uh... so it said if we can read this we are in range, wouldn't that be a bad thing?". As everyone realized that Thad was right the air suddenly felt heavier, a sense of discomfort shifting itself into each of the drones.

"In range of... What?" Doll asked as she looked around, neither of them noticing N's eyes widening for a second. The room felt a lot more, dark now. N verbally reassuring himself.

"V wouldn't."

"Wha-" Doll's mouth was suddenly covered by Thad's hand. The girl glaring at the silent drone for a second before following his gaze and the light from N's torch. In the center of the light was something that was deeply distressing.

It was a hand, lying on the floor. Oil covered skin shining with an almost rubber like gleam as it spidered its way over to them, completely ignoring the the drone's stares as it latched onto Thad's leg.

Instantly a second torch wandered over, the blue eyed disassembly drone responsible for it standing a fair distance away and right next to the large switch for the lights.

"How about we shed some light on this." Rebecca attempted to crack a joke as she pulled the large red wall mounted lever and activated the ceiling lights. A clunky sound echoing out as she did this.

However.

The room was still cast in shadow, said deep black shadows shifting around and were rimmed with bone white outlines as they danced across the floor. Horrific shapes moving not bothered by their reveal while the drones below all looked up. Finally figuring out why the lights were blocked.

They were eclipsed by some giant centipede like form lurking right above them, dozens of claws and other foul appendages hanging from its sides and limply in the air. The top of them all illuminated by that dead and empty light that poured fruitlessly from their wells while its underside remained pitch black.

All of the below drone's just went wide eyed, N, Doll and Thad starring in horror as they tried to wrap their minds around what they were looking at. Rebecca meanwhile just aimed a rocket launcher up at it while remarking in a cold tone

"Nevermind.". The girl was about to fire when abruptly she stopped, her body going limp with a sickening crunch that was nigh instantly followed by the telltale clunk of the lights being forced off. N and the two workers fear only jumping higher when the lights went out, leaving the three alone.

Something whistled through the air, a metal orb colliding with Doll and sending her sprawling to the side along with bowling over both N and Thad within the same second. The three robots exclaiming loudly as another hand bolted from the darkness and grabbed onto Doll's arm. N saw this and reached out for her, the smaller drone having dropped her crossbow in the action and now lied on the floor just out of reach.

"Doll grab my hand!" N yelled, only for her and Thad to be whisked away, both screaming as they vanished into the darkness.

"No no no..." N whined. Quickly bolting upright and accidentally kicking something in the panic. It was the orb from before that had knocked them all over. The orb was actually Rebecca's head, visor dimly shining with large red damage warning as it spun over to where Doll's pulse crossbow had been discarded. The rest of the disassembly drone's body lied back at the light switch, N quickly noting this as he scooped up Doll's destructive weapon and prepped to run after the stolen workers.

"Not the type of weapon im used to but it should work out." The lone murder drone stated somewhat jokingly to himself before he took off into the darkness, leaving Rebecca's swiftly regenerating body to its own devices.
