An orange canine-like figure walked up to a brick house with a nice wooden-tiled roof. His yellow-tinted cream-colored mane and tail flew in the wind. His face held a giddy expression. He held his right arm behind his back. Vibrant flowers held within the digits of his paw. He took his free arm and knocked it against the door, hitting it twice. The Flareon was bubbling over trying to contain his excitement. He heard faint footsteps grow closer. Making him even more excited, it seemed like he was going to explode. The front door opened with a long, drawn-out, and loud creak. The Flareon's face lit up with excitement as his eyes fell on a Glaceon.

"Ohh- Hey Atsila, what are you doing here at this time?" She asked with a pink tint covering her snout. Her voice serpent-esk as she put on a fake sweet voice. Atsila, the Flareon, was completely oblivious to the fake voice she used as a facade. Around her body was a soft, dull, and fluffy light blue robe that reached her ankles.

"It's our third anniversary, and I-I-I wanted to surprise you!" Atsila withdrew the beautiful bouquet of flowers as his expression gained a hearty grin. He patiently waited for the Glaceon's response. Her face immediately soured and she stepped back a bit, making a small creek in her wooden floors.

"Atsila...

we're done."

The Flareon's heart skipped a beat before working overtime, beating faster and faster. The thumping audible within a twenty-foot distance. "No ands, ifs, or buts. Atsila, get out of here." These words felt like the pricks of a cactus all going straight into his heart. The blue-ish canine-esk figure crossed her arms as she spoke. Atsila paused, dropping the flowers onto the dirt. Almost as if Arceus willed it, rain began plummeting to the ground.

"What..."

The silence was rudely interrupted by the rainfall and a loud thunderous roar let out by a lightning strike. The only thing going through his head was "why". He fell backwards, onto the dirt path that led to her house, stunned.

"Why?" He asked, voice weak and scratchy.

The Glaceon stood above the Flareon. Atsila's ears fell down, drooping, his eyes were water-covered and a pink broken heart developed in his iris, his tail stagnant and unmoving. All of these indicated he died inside, even still, a small bit of hope lingered.

"Pl-please!" He paused for just a moment. "Maybe we can make this work Tundra, I-I'll do anything you want! Just don't leave!" The Flareon begged, he didn't want to lose another relationship. It was the only interaction he had on a semi-daily basis. The pain had already pierced his heart like a rusty knife, to happen once again may break him.

"No, get going. I don't ever want to see your face again." She slowly walked back inside of her house, giving the Flareon one final glance before he left her life forever. Atsila looked up at the dark water-filled clouds that covered the heavens. He didn't know what to feel, hatred? Sadness? Confusion was the only thing that he knew he felt. Atsila had no idea why any of this happened, where it came from, what he did wrong. His head spun in circles as he attempted to make sense of the situation.

Dirt and mud stuck to his fur, rain beat down hitting him with force that caused a small sting. Atsila's water soaked tail and mane, he flinched each time he was struck by the water. Perhaps the rain really hurt that much, perhaps it was because he was heartbroken, perhaps it was due to his typing.

The fire inside of the Flareon's heart dampened in sadness, he gave her everything. There was not a dull moment in what he did; he gave her everything she asked for, performed every requested action. And yet still, she said he didn't do anything. He sat in his own tears and sorrows. Through the sadness another emotion brewed in his internal flame. It was rage, he made all of the right decisions. His heart blew ablaze, he ran past all of the other similarly built housing. Finally a forest emerged from the darkness.
