"Dei'Kiearah, this is my son Kaleek, the one i told you about." Ms. Kim whispered the last part for only me & her to hear, as she introduced us.
A small smile crept onto my face, "hello, it's nice to meet you Kaleek, your mother has told me many good things about you." i extend my hand out for him to take, he shakes it and raises it to his lips.
"nice to meet you too, Dei'Kiearah. I can say the same thing about you." he says sending chills throughout my body.
"well i will leave the two of you alone, ask her out!" his mom mumbled walking away.
"i sincerely apologize about her, she can be a bit much at times, but i love her to death." he chuckles, licking over his lips.
"no worries, i get it. my mom does the same thing." i lightly chuckle fully understanding the situation of being set up by your parents.
"do you want to go somewhere more private? To talk? Wondering ears." He mumbles that last part, nodding toward our mothers looking intently at us.
"definitely" i lowly whisper and we walk through the house and to his car. "wanna go for a drive?" he smiles, opening the passenger door for me, i nod and thank him.
He closes the door and jogs around to the driver side, he gets into the car and pull off.
The entire ride we talk and listen to music with no destination in mind. By the time we pull back in front of his parents house all of the cars are gone. "damn, i didn't realize it was this late." i giggle looking at the time on the screen.
"me either. it was really nice talking to you dei. i was wondering, if i could get your number? maybe we can continue this another day?" he suggests, i ponder on it before giving him my phone. He gave me his, i put my number in, and we exchange the phones back.
Later that night once i taken my shower and got into bed, my phone rung. I look at the screen and smile seeing that it was Kaleek.
I answered the FaceTime call and waited for it to connect, "hello, beautiful." he smiled showing all teeth making me blush.
"hello handsome, did you make it home safely?"
"i sure did, i just got home in fact. I had to run a few errands before coming straight home." he yawned, covering his mouth.
"you tired? we can call it a night and pick this back up later in the am." i suggested.
"i really am, are you? i don't wanna hang up."
"not really, but I'm getting there." i yawned shortly after him, getting under my covers.
I get comfortable in the bed and prop my phone up so he could still see me.
We each dozed off to sleep shortly after.

"good morning beautiful." kaleek grinned, still on FaceTime.
"good morning handsome. how long have you been up?"
"not long since like 5, i took a shower, ate, and worked out. i didn't want to wake you."
"mmm thank you for letting me sleep." i smile, getting up out of my bed. I walk into the bathroom and do my dental hygiene.
"i will call you back once i get out the shower." We said in unison, laughing.
"jinx you owe me a soda" i childish laugh.
"how bout you let me take you on a date? how does next weekend sound?" he smirks.
"that was smooth, i see what you did there, & next weekend sounds perfect." i blush.
"it's a date, I'll let you know what time to be ready & I'll pick you up. now go on and get ready for work, have a good day." he smiled, we said our see you laters and ended the call.
