The next day, Huo YanXiao went over to the insurance company to update his policy while Nie AnAn went over to the Nie's to be grilled by Father Nie and Mother Nie. "Why the rush?" Huo YanXiao's friend was a bit curious. "Are you planning something?"

Huo YanXiao said mildly, "Just do as I ask. You let me worry about the rest." "Okay. We don't have to talk about matters regarding your insurance. Let's talk about something else," said Chen Wei as he pushed his glasses up a bit. Then, looking at Huo YanXiao, he asked, "Why did you want to get married all of a sudden? Just because she's the Nie's little princess?"

"Yes. We have a betrothal," said Huo YanXiao in his usual calm tone. "Betrothal?" Chen Wei chuckled. "Xiao-ge, we have known each other for 6 years. You are not someone who'd stick to a betrothal." He winked at him. "C'mon. You can tell me. Is it a shotgun wedding because you knocked her up?" Chen Wei was conked on his head by Huo YanXiao as soon as he finished saying that.

"Alright! Alright!" Chen Wei held his hand over his head as he finished up updating the insurance policy and printed the updated version out directly for Huo YanXiao to review. Huo YanXiao read through it carefully and nodded. "Okay, let's sign and get it into the system." The paperwork was completed quickly. When Chen Wei walked Huo YanXiao out, he finally couldn't resist his curiosity and asked, "So, what was the reason?"

Huo YanXiao's look turned very suggestive and even his tone became flirty, "Because she had already seen my entire body. How do you like that reason?" It was only after Huo YanXiao had got inside the car before Chen Wei had recollected himself and cussed, "Oh, sh*t!"

He had more questions, but Huo YanXiao had already driven away.

Over at the Nie's, Nie AnAn had finally successfully convinced them that her judgement was fine and she was willing to marry Huo YanXiao. Nie AnAn further explained that, no matter when they got married, Huo YanXiao would still be spending most of his time at work, so she'd be home with the Nie's during the day time.

Mother Nie still looked disappointed. "Had we known, we wouldn't take you to that so-called banquet!" Grandpa Nie sighed too. "Aye, I did make that pact with Old Qin back then, but I was thinking more along the lines of their daughter marrying into our family. Who knew..." Father Nie said, "It was all ChengFeng's fault. Why can't he just follow through with the betrothal? Xiao Yi looks like a simple and nice girl!"

Low and behold, Nie ChengFeng, who was home for lunch, just stepped inside the door. Mother Nie figured out what he was talking about and said, "Xiao Yi is so smart! Even she knew that AnAn is more charming than you!" Nie ChengFeng: "..." Luckily, there's still AnAn's cooking to make up for it all. How else could he still continue to stay in this family? Apparently, the Nie's had underestimated Qin Hai's desire for the marriage alliance.

Two days later, Qin Hai had already come over to the Nie's along with Huo YanXiao to propose officially. She had felt for sure that an engagement between two prominent families would take a while to prepare. Even before her transmigration, she had always heard that it took over six months just to book a wedding location. But next month? Nie AnAn felt a little anxious. After all, she wasn't sure how Huo YanXiao felt about her.

She told Huo YanXiao that night that she would be joining the filming of the third season of the show. Huo YanXiao nodded after he heard the news and said, "Oh, okay. Then, AnAn, you be safe during the filming and keep in touch with me at all times." Nie AnAn promised and wanted to wait for Huo YanXiao to say something else, but his cellphone rang. It seemed like the call was work-related, and he quickly left for his study.

Nie AnAn felt a small amount of disappointment. She recalled that she had wondered who Huo YanXiao would end up with while she was reading the novel before. But, there was no mention of Huo YanXiao having a relationship throughout the entire novel. There had never been shortage of women interested in him around him, but he never responded to any of them. It seemed as though he would never love another person. Then, did he only agree to the marriage alliance because she asked? Perhaps, because he didn't know how to turn her down and didn't want to embarrass her, he decided to just agree to it?
