Jennie got up from the bed after checking the time. 8:00 am. Her class was scheduled to start at 9:00 so without wasting any time, she made her way to the washroom to freshen up for the day. As she picked up the toothbrush from the stand, she looked at her reflection in the mirror. Fatigue was visible in her face, her eyes puffy and red, undereyes having bags and of course. She studied till late night and got only 3-4 hours of sleep, it was not ideal for her health.

She got all set and left her apartment with a piece of bread to snack on while walking. She began walking to her university as it was only 10 minutes away.

"Are you serious?" Taehyung yelled making the other students look at him.

"Of course," Jungkook, his best friend tried to reply in the lowest voice. "Look at yourself it's not suggested to study till late night. You will fall sick."

Taehyung looked at him and said "Well you remember how bad I performed previous semester. I got 94% only."

Jungkook let out a sigh at that.
"It is only 1 percent lower and you're already complaining. I don't get why you toppers can never be happy about your grades. Sorry but you're always in need for more marks. This doesn't mean intelligence but greed."

Taehyung tried to control his chuckle and threw a question at his friend, changing the topic. "Well you know that girl Jennie right?"

"Umm..yes she's that girl who was given little something for performing well in her class. It was some kind of certificate, wasn't it?" Jungkook replied.

"I don't know but the worst thing is she would be joining my class from this next semester." Taehyung said.

"Oh now it will be a great battle between you two." Jungkook said lighting up his mood.

"We'll see but yes if that then I would definitely like to beat her in her academics and every activities." Taehyung said with a sarcastic laugh. Jungkook couldn't help but smile at him.

"Let's go to the our respective class or else we'll have to stand outside the whole day." Taehyung looked at watch. 8:50.

"Alright. See you at recess."

"Jisoo hi." Jennie called out to her best friend when she spotted her near the gate.

"Jennie. What happened to you? Your eyes look puffy." Jisoo asked looking at her.

"Oh it's just that I studied till late night so... "So what? You should have slept early." Jisoo said in a worried tone.

"Come on. Let it go. Let's go to our class it's already 8:55." Jennie said pulling jisoo.

"Ok."

"You know there is a girl joining taehyung's class next semester and he is all set to outdo her already." Jungkook said to jimin who came back after getting sandwiches for them.

"Oh now we'll get to see a great rivalry, with a sprinkle of romantic vibes. Right?" Jimin said teasing Taehyung who responded with a light slap.

"Why on earth you always jump to lovey-dovey conclusions? Even if a boy and girl look at each other, you always ship them." Taehyung said to jimin which made him laugh while Jungkook, on the other hand, just enjoyed their banter.

"Chill" jimin tried to calm him down.

"By the way, you are always with that junior girl rosé right?" Jungkook teased jimin now.

"Jungkook!" Jimin shouted which made both of them laugh. "She was just a crush and now I don't feel anything like that, gotta keep it light and easy."

"Taehyung i have heard about him too. He's very good when it comes to academics." Jennie said after jisoo gave this news to her that they will be in the same class.

"Yes. You are gonna beat him now to get his place, aren't you?" Jisoo asked her.

"No. I won't do that as I believe I'm better in my own way." Jennie said.

"That's like my girl." Jisoo said being proud of her.

The bell rang. Jennie was walking to her class but as soon as she realised she has humanities class, she ran.

"Oh no. If i reach late I'll definitely get a scolding." She said to herself running as fast as she could. During this she bumped into someone and fell on the floor.

Taehyung stood near the door of the washroom, waiting for jimin. Jungkook had gone to his class. He gazed down the corridor, oblivious to his surroundings. He suddenly felt someone bump into him, causing them to fall near him.

"Are you ok?" He asked the girl who fell. "Yes thank you for asking." She replied with a smile, feeling good at his kindness. "You should not run like this here. The floor is quite slippery." He advised her. "I'll not do that again. Thank you." Saying that she walked away from there.
