That is where my heart sank.

My life just can't go on like this! NO! I'm not going back there; I'm safe. I'M FUCKING SAFE! But I can't even call myself safe now. Because I'm on the run. I'm being hunted. There was no way for me to be safe. I got upset. Now things were heating up, and in less than a minute, some flames appeared...

Worse, I was in front of those men, since I was too shocked to move. Welp, looks like I'm fucked. Screwed and fucked for life. Why did I even do that?! What is with me always showing my powers like this?! Those men looked visibly confused and scared, and they all turned to me after a few seconds.

"Was that you...?" one of the men questioned me.

"No." The speed I had answered that was so rapid, people would promptly think of me as a liar, even when I have never really lied.

"WAIT A DAMN MINUTE!"

I tilted my head to the side out of curiosity and confusion. I was wondering why they would just shout that out of the blue.

But I saw them pull out a picture, their eyes widening as they stared at me. The vibes the men were giving was plain on eerie. Every single one of them began to whisper, and after two minutes, they halted and began to walk towards me. I backed away ever so slowly, so I could have energy to run.

"THAT'S THE EXPERIMENT! OH MY FUCKING GOD, THAT'S RONNIE!"

THEY KNOW MY NAME?! HOW?! Nonetheless, I bolted off so fast, I knew they wouldn't be able to catch me. Luckily, that was true. I managed to get back to the school.

"KEIKO, GET IN!"

"What? But I thought we were-"

"JUST GET THE FUCK IN! NOW, PLEASE!"

We both got in and slammed the doors. At least they didn't break, because I'm not sure who would pay for that one. We both sighed and looked at one another; we were both calming down– especially me since I had to. I began to zone out for a moment and then Keiko tapped me on the shoulder.

"What just happened?"

"They know my secret."

"What?"

I took a big breath before talking again. "They know I'm apparently the experiment on the loose..."

"Huh?!" Keiko was visibly shocked.

"I'm not safe anymore. Those men work at the lab. They are planning to take me back. My family probably knows already. Ate knows enough. I'm genuinely scared for what will come to me. Probably pain. Dai told me he saw me at the lab years ago. And you know as they say everything happens for a reason... Does everyone just... want me dead?"

She shook her head. "Of course not. We all love you. Platonically, of course."

After school, I was walking through the forest. It was a nice place, since I preferred isolation and secluded areas more than anything in the world. The walk was very calming, as I was listening to Taylor Swift, as usual. The fun came from the music; I was singing my heart and dancing my joints to the core. It was also nice since I could just... kind of express my true self without second hand embarrassment. Most people were douches, though.

But then, I heard footsteps behind me. The way they sounded... It was like a crescendo.

"Ronnie."

I stopped right then and there out of shock. My eyes widened as I stared ahead. I did not dare look back as I closed my eyes and took a couple of deep breaths.
