On Sunday, match day, she was with other cheerleaders, standing in front of bleachers and warming up.

Joshua ran out of the locker room, his face and arms streaked with black as he got himself ready for the game.

The cheerleaders were always present to encourage the players and he looked around, trying to find Violet. She wasn't very tall so she was difficult to see amidst the rest of the cheerleaders, but finally, he spotted her standing in front of the bleachers.

"There she is," he said under his breath and jogged over to her, his eyes set on her as he approached.

Joshua took note of her conversation and smiled when he saw that her back was facing him. He quickly came behind her and wrapped his strong arms around her waist.

"Whatcha talking about so seriously?" he asked in a low, rumbling voice.

He then picked up her petite body and spun her around to face him. Her expression was one of surprise, seeing him standing only inches in front of her.

she screamed and squalled "JOSHUA PUT ME DOWN!"

Joshua laughed to himself as she squirmed around and tried to free herself from his grip. This girl was certainly feisty.

"You know you like being in my strong arms," he teased.

Seeing the fear in her eyes though, he figured he had to dial it back a bit, and her yelling was a good sign that he was probably crossing some boundaries.

He gently set her back on the ground and teased her a bit more.

"Come on, lighten up..."

she smoothed down her uniform and turned around with an angry expression.

"When are you going to finally grow up? aren't you tired of teasing me? seriously, I don't find that attractive or funny! just stop! tease someone else! ugh!" she scolded him and went back to the other girls.

Joshua laughed to himself again, he loved how grumpy and serious she was.

"Oh no, she's mad," he chuckled under his breath, watching her walk away and thinking about the words she'd spoken. She may have said that she didn't find him amusing, but her actions didn't match her words. Otherwise, she would've never had such a strong reaction after he'd picked her up.

"Maybe if she wasn't so cute when she was angry about me..."

Joshua took one last glance at her, seeing that she was still talking to the other girls. His eyes zeroed in on her lips as she spoke and he couldn't help but think about how kissable they looked.

He leaned back against the bleachers and sighed, taking in the sights and sounds of the stadium. He looked back at her once again, his eyes taking in her tiny figure and her soft, wavy hair.

"Damn it, I can't get her out of my head..." he muttered under his breath.

Joshua stood on the sidelines as the game got underway, he watched as the cheerleaders cheered for both sides enthusiastically. Even though they were only cheering because they were supposed to, he couldn't help but appreciate how pretty they looked.

A cheer from the Mustangs' sideline drew his attention and he looked over to see a cute cheerleader blowing him a kiss.

He scoffed and immediately looked back at Violet, who at the moment was jumping and cheering on the other side of the field. She was infinitely more attractive than the cheerleader who'd just blown him a kiss.

The game went on for a bit, and the Mustangs were doing well until Joshua's team scored a touchdown; then they seemed to lose momentum and had to play catchup. Joshua watched as they scrambled around on the field, his eyes still locking onto Violet's tiny body as she jumped and cheered.
