- My Friend Marsupilami is a Belgian-French TV show from the 2000's (2012 to be exact) created by André Franquin Belgian comics artist, but the show 'Marsupilami' was produced by Marathon Media (later Samka Productions as well.)

The show was renamed many times throughout it's running times, but the original idea was that Marsupilami is a fictional breed of animal that made its first appearance in a French comic book/magazine.
It's shown a rare, endangered species, which exists in the (fictional) Polombian rainforest.
Main characters of the show are the Marsupilami family's members; Marsupilami, Marsupilamie (Marsupilami's wife) and their triplets: Bibi, Bibu and Bobo.

In the first episode of season one it's shown that a dad with 4 children lives near to the Marsupilami family's nest and it seems they are in a friendly, almost family-like relationship with the humans as the Vanderstardt family is really big on saving animals, especially as Marsupilamis are a dying species.
