The Watcher

Alone in a corner
Telling herself she was ok
That it was her choice
Her self proclaimed fate.

And yet she wished for fellowship
She longed for time
But it wasn't possible
She was too shy.

She watched with care
She listened with love
But words were rare
Though she cared so much.

Her heart was awake
But her voice was tied
She did not wish to be speechless
But her heart did not agree with her mind.
