01. 𝘚𝘦𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘪𝘮

Maddie lomax stood in the lomax house and sighed. She knew that they had just moved to the new village. Maddie had raised her daughter alone. Maddie knew how her relationship with her daughter's father was, he was her headmaster at the time and he had tutored her. She was fourteen when he took her virginity

She had got pregnant and had Annabelle when she was fifteen and she was only a child but she had done her best for her child. Maddie knew the type of man that Patrick was and she knew that she wasn't going to let him hurt Annabelle. She knew the mind games he use to play with her and she knew how toxic that they were together and when he family moved her away. She made sure to leave with Annabelle so that he wouldn't hurt her

Maddie stood in the kitchen as Sam walked in and looked to her "Anna bed hasn't been slept in" she said as Maddie groaned

"You need to rail her in" Sam said

"Your giving me parenting advice? Wasn't it your fourteen year old who lost her virginity to her headmaster and who he knocked up at fifteen" Maddie said

"You do realise that you are talking about yourself?"

"Yes. I am but the best example to her but I have always tried my best" Maddie said

Maddie walked off out of the house and sighed. She knew that staying with her parents and siblings was only temporary and how she was going to get her and Annabelle their own place as soon as she could

"Annabelle" Maddie yelled as she saw her daughter walking across the village as Maddie walked over to her

"Oh fuck"

"Watch your mouth I'll wash it out with soap. I know that living with them isn't easy but you sneaking out every night is not helping me. They're judging me as a mother and I know I'm not the best. But I am trying and as soon as I get a job I am going to safe up and get us a flat"

"You are the best mum. I just hate how gran just tried to tell me what to do" Annabelle said as Maddie nodded

"I know but I'm your parent okay" Maddie said as Annabelle nodded

Maddie stood in the phone. She was trying to enroll Annabelle into school "I don't have to go to school I'm already as amazing as I am"

"You're going to go to school. You are going to do better than I did"

"It's not your fault your headmaster screwed you and knocked you up. He just has a thing for little girls"

Maddie turned to face her daughter and looked to her

"You did not just say that" Maddie said

"What? You were fourteen"

"It was a different time and he didn't force me. I loved your dad I did. But we are better off apart" Maddie said as she saw someone in the corner of her eye and frowned

"Mum are you okay? You look as if you have seen a ghost" Annabelle said as she saw the look on maddies face as Maddie looked to her and smiled

"Yeah you could say that" Maddie said as she made eye contact with someone that she never thought she'd see again. Patrick Blake

He looked straight at her and walked over it her

"Madeline" he said as she looked him up and down. She knew the tension between them and she hated it . She knew that after all these years that she still felt it again. She had left with Annabelle when she was three months old when an argument got too much and he had hit her

"Patrick"

"Wait.." Annabelle said as she realised who it was

"Hello Patrick. Get any students pregnant lately?" Maddie asked coldy. She wasn't happy to see him at all

"Just the one. So this is my daughter"

"Annabelle, meet your father come on" Maddie said as she went to lead Annabelle off as Patrick grabbed her arm

"What are you going to do hit her again?" Annabelle asked

"You told her" Patrick asked

"She wanted to know why you weren't in her life. I told her the truth" she said

"Can we talk please" he said as she sighed

"Go I'll be okay" Maddie said to her daughter as Annabelle looked to Patrick and glared

"You may be my father but you didn't raise me. She did, you lay a finger in her again I'll kill you"

Maddie sat in the coffee shop with ostrich as they sat across from each other "you look good I missed you" he said as she rolled her eyes

"Such the charmer as always aren't you Patrick" she said as he sighed

"I'm sorry what i did. It got out of hand."

"What when you slapped me. I was a teen mum in the middle of her exams and you expected me to be perfect" she said as he looked to her

"You're right I'm sorry. I loved you Madeline despite it all. I regret hurting you but you hurt me when you took my daughter" he said as she looked to him

"I took her as I was afraid, I was afraid that you would hurt her" Maddie said as he looked to her and nodded

"I get it. I'm sorry I truly am but I'd like to be a father to her" he said as Maddie looked to him and sighed.

She knew how she and Annabelle had been fine all of these years and she knew that letting Patrick be a part of Annabelle life was her feel so unsure and uneasy

"I'll talk to Anna over it. I am not going to give her into something that she doesn't want" Maddie said as he looked to her and nodded

The two of them held a look. She knew his things were but she had no idea just how it was going to change and how it was all down to Patrick Blake
