Catherine floated through the walls of Phoebe's room, her ghostly form settling into a comfortable position on the bed. She picked up a comic book that Phoebe had left lying there and began to read, her eyes scanning the colorful panels with intense focus. The story was engrossing, and Catherine was completely absorbed, her mind transported to a world of adventure and heroism.

Phoebe stormed into the room, her face red with anger. "Ugh, I can't believe them!" she exclaimed, pacing back and forth across the floor. "They just don't understand me at all!" She was furious with her parents, who refused to let her join the Ghostbusters, citing her age as a reason.

Catherine didn't even flinch, her attention completely absorbed by the comic book. Phoebe huffed and continued to rant, but Catherine didn't respond, too engrossed in the story unfolding before her eyes. She turned the page, her eyes widening as the hero of the story faced off against a formidable foe.

Phoebe slowed to a stop in front of Catherine, her eyes fixed on the ghostly form with a mix of admiration and frustration. She couldn't help but notice how captivating Catherine looked, her ethereal beauty shining even in the midst of ignoring Phoebe. Catherine's ghostly form seemed to glow with an otherworldly light, and her eyes sparkled with excitement as she read.

"Cat, are you even listening to me?" Phoebe asked, her voice softening despite herself. She had always had a little crush on Catherine, and moments like these only made it harder to ignore.

Catherine turned the page, her eyes never leaving the comic book. "Mmm-hmm," she murmured, her response barely audible.

Phoebe's eyes lingered on Catherine's profile, her heart skipping a beat as she took in the gentle curve of her neck and the soft glow of her skin. She loved how passionate Catherine was about the things she loved, and how her eyes lit up when she was engaged. Phoebe felt a pang of admiration for her friend, and a flutter in her chest that she couldn't ignore.

With a sigh, Phoebe flopped down beside Catherine on the bed, her eyes fixed on the comic book with newfound interest. Maybe if she showed an interest in what Catherine was reading, she'd finally get some attention. She leaned in closer, her shoulder brushing against Catherine's ghostly form.

Catherine finally looked up from the comic book, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Oh, Phoebe! You have to read this part! It's so good!" She held out the comic book, her ghostly form shimmering with enthusiasm.

Phoebe smiled, her heart skipping a beat at the sudden attention. "Okay, Cat. I'll take a look." She took the comic book from Catherine, their fingers touching briefly as they exchanged it.

As they sat there in comfortable silence, Phoebe couldn't help but steal glances at Catherine, her admiration growing with each passing moment. She loved how Catherine's eyes sparkled when she was excited, and how her ghostly form seemed to shimmer with an otherworldly energy. Phoebe felt a sense of happiness at the simple moment, her crush on Catherine simmering just below the surface.

As they read on, Phoebe started to giggle at the silly antics of the comic book characters. Catherine looked up, her eyes sparkling with amusement, and started to laugh too. Phoebe's heart skipped a beat as she heard Catherine's laugh for the first time - it was a soft, musical sound that sent shivers down her spine. She found it adorable, and couldn't help but laugh even harder.

The two of them sat there, laughing and reading together, their joy infectious. They were having so much fun, lost in the world of the comic book, that they forgot about Phoebe's anger and frustration. They forgot about the Ghostbusters, and the afterlife, and just enjoyed each other's company.

As they finally finished the comic book, Phoebe turned to Catherine with a grin. "Thanks for showing me that, Cat. I needed a laugh."

Catherine smiled back, her ghostly form shimmering with happiness. "Anytime, Phoebe. I'm always happy to share my favorite things with you."

Phoebe's heart skipped a beat at the warmth in Catherine's voice. She felt a sense of connection with her friend, a sense of belonging that she couldn't ignore. And as they sat there in comfortable silence, Phoebe knew that she was falling for Catherine, hard.
