Muted Resentment

I've seen you seemingly solely walking
Down the open city road.
Like what you've always telling me when I'm asking,
"Do you have any romantic companion, dude?"

I float up on the sky in serenity
Everytime I hear the same news.
I wanna be with you, willingly,
Will follow this feeling wherever it goes.

The same headline has stayed for long,
Same footprints on the road was what I've seen.
So I lived peacefully and complacently all along,
Like there's no single thief that could rob in.

One day, I felt a strange gust of wind.
I've heard you have companion in your walking,
Your pair of footprints doubled at the rear end.
My friend, Mariposa, told me everything.

Afraid we'll argue and lose everything,
So I decided to mute my resentment.
Though it numbed me by its sting,
But I can handle my disappointment.

I just hoped you told me by yourself,
May be it would hurt less.
Not that I'll find it from somebody's shelf
Then surprisingly take down all of my senses.
