"No," Johnny whined, dropping his hands to his side. "I'm not changing my hair."
"You're no fun," Taeyong mused, drawling out the words to empathize as he rested his chin in his hand. "This would be a good story; Fifty Shades of Brown, starring Johnny Seo as the main character."
Jaehyun laughed as he added, "Nah, I think it would be pretty boring."
Johnny went to pick up the grocery bags off of the dining room table ways away from him, and when he returned he continued with a smirk,
"You're right, Jae. I think Fifty Shades of Rainbow with Taeyong as the main would be more interesting."
. . .
"I'm going to kill you."

"We're going to die before this process is over."
Taeyong has been complaining for awhile, and Johnny could sense that the boy was getting cranky from being out of his tiny little dorm room. You'd think you'd be more at ease not being stuffed in a 13x14 square foot rectangle, but nope — not Lee Taeyong.
"Calm down, it's only eight thirty. We both know that you don't go to bed until three," Johnny chastised back, massaging in the blue dye on Taeyong's itchy scalp. "Unless you actually want a botched dye job, you better stop talking."
Taeyong pouted, but shut his mouth. He flickered his gaze to Jaehyun who was watching with an amused smile. He felt his heart race and looked away, his skin becoming rosy for the umpteenth time. Johnny finally wrapped his head in a towel for the very last time for at least twenty minutes. The tall man suggested randomly, "Do you guys want to watch a movie?"
Taeyong wrinkled his nose, relaxing his head in his arms as he said, "I'd like to eat first. I'm starving."
Jaehyun's head perked up at that statement. "I can easily make a vegetable bibimbap if you guys are interested. I memorized a new sauce recipe," he offered.
Johnny patted the boy's crown of chestnut brown hair, saying, "Well I'm not made of ingredients, and that one over there—" he pointed to Taeyong, "only eats sweet bread."
Taeyong rolled his eyes as he played with the weaved bracelet on his wrist. "That's not true. I don't have time to eat real meals," he grumbled, prioritizing his attention to a loose string and tugging at it in apathy.
"Yeah okay," Johnny answered sarcastically.
Jaehyun and Johnny did end up scavenging whatever the student had in his fridge and began to make due with what he had, and thankfully it was enough for at least a simple bibimbap that the younger wanted to make.
Taeyong went to the bathroom to wash the hair dye out in the sink with one of Johnny's nice shampoos and he blow dried it afterwards.
Despite faintly smelling of chemicals, Taeyong had to admit that he was surprisingly okay with the hair color the person in the mirror was sporting. It was a drastic change, and though not liking change, he could appreciate the unique aqua blue; it gave him more personality, so it was nice.
He still felt anxious leaving the bathroom, because any sort of physical difference was nerve wracking for him when it came to other people's opinions. What if he was the only one that liked it?
"Oh my god, that looks amazing on you," Johnny stared at the boy as he went to sit down, a small laugh escaping his lips.
Jaehyun turned around from the rice he was cooking and his mouth slightly hung open when he saw the boy.
Taeyong rubbed the nape of his neck, smiling shyly. "I know, it's really different."
"It's really fucking awesome," Jaehyun suddenly chimed in, almost dropping the wooden spoon in his hand. Taeyong laughed, mostly out of his own panic, resting his temple in his hand so his bangs fell slightly to the side. Johnny nudged on his shoulder, advising,
