Ignoring the fact that it was dangerous to awaken sleepwalkers Clara shouted Elsie's name and Elsie turned her head slowly to look at Clara. She gave a soft smile. She looked so peaceful.

A sudden, gust of wind, as if playing a cruel joke, swept across the rooftop. It tugged at Elsie, who teetered precariously for a heart-stopping moment. And with that, she began to fall. In reality, she plummeted down, but to Clara, it looked like she was falling in slow motion.

She fell like a leaf falls from a tree, softly and quietly.

"NOOOO!" Clara screamed at the sight in front of her eyes. "Nooo", with a choked sob. "Somebody help" she screamed. But there was no one nearby to hear her scream. Peering over the edge, Clara saw Elsie's small frame, crumpled and still. Her heart sank as she saw her tiny body, broken and lifeless. She quickly ran downstairs to see if she could call anyone to help or try and get neighbors but deep down she already knew, it was too late.

Elsie was gone.
