11. Their Missions

Zamarah the Pisces

The conversation between the five leaders was about the sightings of the demons in their respective nations. Nagtatanong kasi ang emperor kung kumusta na ang kalagayan ng bawat nasyon na pinamumunuan nila. Bilang nakakataas sa kanila ay kailangan din niyang malaman ang bawat kalagayan ng bawat nasyon.

Wala naman akong masasabi tungkol sa kasalukuyang emperor ngayon. He's very well informed to every events that are happening in the world. Ayaw nitong mahuli sa balita, kahit maliit na commotion lang ay gusto nitong alamin, because he doesn't want to neglect his people.

When the great mage Amaro announced about the Zodiacs, the emperor was the first person who helped the academy. Inutusan niya ang bawat tao mayroon siya na hanapin ang mga batang labing-walong taong gulang at dalhin sa Astar Academy. When the school needs equipments and facilities for our daily trainings, ang emperor din ang  nag provide. Wala siyang ibang ginawa kundi ang tumulong at unahin ang kapakanan ng bawat nasasakupan niya bago ang kanyang sarili.

They said he doesn't possess powers, but his swordsmanship is exceptional.

"I'm sending the Zodiacs to these places, your highness."

"Madali lang lumipas ang panahon at sana ay sa muli kong pag harap sa labin-dalawang estudyanteng ito ay kompleto pa rin. I don't underestimate the Zodiacs, so as the enemies out there waiting for you."

Lahat kami ay tumayo at yumuko sa harapan ng emperor. We did the fist-and-palm gesture as we show our respect to him. Nang umayos kami ng upo ay nagsalita si Torin na siyang nasa unahan.

"Hindi po namin sasayangin ang isang taon na trainings at lessons na ibinigay sa amin ng academy. Pinapangako po namin sa inyo at sa buong Ethorea na ibabalik namin ang katiwasayan ng mundo. Hinding-hindi po namin kayo bibiguin."

I balled my fist as Torin's voice filled my ears. Puno ito ng determinasyon at pag-asa na sa darating na kaguluhan ay mananaig ang kabutihan. Na kami ang mananalo at hindi tuluyang lalaganap ang kasamaan pati na rin ang mga nilalang sa mundong iyon.

The demons that are already in this world is nothing compared to those ones inside the Dark World. They more like humans than them. They have powers. They have goals. They're malicious beings. If we let them roam around, what will going to happened to the future generations? The world will be unbalanced. Between good and evil, it's the latter who will rule the whole Ethorea. There's no use being alive.

Kaya hangga't maaga pa, gagawin namin ang buong makakaya namin upang hindi ito mangyari.

We're just bunch of teenagers but we are carrying the burden on our shoulders. Pasalamat na lang kami na may katulad ni Amaro at Esmeralda na patuloy kaming sinusuportahan. They promised that they will fight alongside with us. Hindi nila kami iiwanan. Sasamahan nila kami kahit ano man ang mangyari.

"This is what the emperor decided," panimula ng kanang kamay nito. "Ten months is only a blink of an eye so we have to move fast. The Emperor has decided for the Zodiacs' mission." Bumaba ito sa entablado at lumapit sa amin. May dala siyang maliit na nakarolyong papel na ibinigay niya sa bawat isa sa amin.

Nang makuha ko ang akin ay agad ko itong binuksan at bumungad sa aking mata ang mapa ng Ethorea. I was filled with a lot questions and was about to voice it out but Haruko got ahead of me.
