just because flowers💐

I was sat in bed watching The Good Place for the 1000th time when I heard my phone starting ringing, I hauled my body over to grab my phone off charge, it was Walker. He'd already sent me 20 odd messages begging me to open the door, whoops.

I slowly emerged from my bed like the rotter I am (A:N that's targeted at myself) and answered the phone

"Excuse you." The persass was already bestowed upon me,
"I'm literally coming down the stairs right now, okay?"
"Okay!" I could hear the smile in his voice, I hung up because I was basically at the door now,

I decided to piss him off a little bit so I peeked through the little spy hole in the door you use to see who's there, he could definitely see me because he raised his eyebrows, I opened the door slightly,

"Who is it?"
"The FBI let me in please,"
"Reason being?"
"I have flowers?" I gasped, glancing down to see most beautiful bouquet of fresh tulips ever to exist (I LOVE TULIPS).

I opened the door with a massive grin on my face, then I stopped, staring at him cautiously,

"What did you do?"
"Nothing!" Walker never bought me flowers, we'd been dating almost a year and I got them once on my birthday, maybe?
"I don't buy it."
"Why not?"
"Since when are you a flower boyfriend?"
"Since today." He grinned, "Can I come in or?" I stepped aside to let him in, still confused.

We stood opposite each other in the hallway, bound by unbreakable eye contact. Walker held the flowers out towards me,

"Take them." I did, admiring the striking colours, nature's artwork.
"They're so beautiful."
"Like you." I rolled by eyes at him and laughed,
"Why did you get me these?"
"Just because."
"Just because what?" I stepped closer towards him, trying not to burst into a smile, but I couldn't help it,
"Just because I love you."
