Take your time to rest and cry
This love will be over by the end of the night
The movie's boring, the clock chimes nine
We talk about how we're all gonna die
Your snacks are empty, you switch them with mine
There's something in the corner, trying to hide
A dark figure, full of spite
I never seemed to notice this kind of light
It shines above you, I see your smile
While you're actively ignoring my hardest fight
I listen to the sound of time ticking by
I stare into those glowing, yet deeply dark eyes
I will never be mad enough to not say 'good night'
But sometimes it's worth it to recall silent sights
I slowly walk home, the moon shining bright
I guess that's the end, how did I survive?
But then I noticed there's no reason why
It's simple human nature to ditch the high
