This involved my characters from my main story but how it would be if things went differently...I felt like one story was not enough so here is this one
Iris and Clair walked down the crowded street enjoying the warm spring air. The sounds of the town had their own rhythm daily. Ahead there was a group of people and Iris stopped and stared. She became fascinated and stood there watching.
"Iris...what are you looking at?", Clair asked,
"Well... you know who that is...what can I say...I am a bit curious about my new boss", Iris continued.
"Yea come Monday you will be the assistant to that man over there...intriguing, isn't it?", Clair smirked.
"Yes, but I hope this is not a fool's errand...I mean no one stays around him long and we don't need the stress on bills", Iris frowned while staring.
"Yes, he is tricky, very tricky, everyone knows that but look at it this way, even if you work there even momentarily...who knows what you might see and learn and as the saying goes, knowledge is power", Clair stated reassuringly.
"Yes, its true, I am just shocked he chose me, I mean, by the tabloids, I am definitely not the normal type so....", Iris said.
"Maybe that is a good thing, maybe he does need office help that does work compared to others clinging to his wallet", Clair said with a smirk.
They both stood there staring at the form amongst the crowds of cameras and chatter. Iris appreciated the opportunity but still had reservations.
2 Months Later.
Adjustments were made and Iris was impressed she made it this far. Usually at the 30-day mark, people were fired and no one noticed anymore. A quick dismissal and then moving onto the next one. Staff at the company began not to even take their names. They knew getting to know them was a waste of time. It was definitely a risk to be his assistant and no one desired to get that close.
The calendar was empty for the day, so Iris tried to get ahead for the following week. Being that it was Thursday she figured it was wise to see what was upcoming. Files organized and signed, she gathered them up and walked into Oncelers office.
He was sitting quietly in his chair looking at something on his desk. She approached slowly and handed off the paperwork. Although grateful, Onceler scanned over them and raised his eyes to Iris. There was a spark of curiosity behind the look, he glanced at his clock and then began to speak.
"Iris, go lock the door", He asked in a flat tone.
Confused, Iris locked the door with a "click" and then returned to his desk. Upon hearing the lock of the door, Oncelers face changed, he leaned back in his chair and sat staring. Iris admired his suit for the day and even noticed his alluring cologne. For a while now, she ignored her thoughts...as much as one could. He enticed her but she buried the thought, she knew there was no point. Although, at times, she thought she would see glances from him as he walked by. Even with his black glasses on she could swear his eyes would dart at her occasionally, even when he tried to hide it.
Standing there within the silence, Iris tried to ignore it but this time, it would not go away. Burying it did not work, ignoring it did not work and in an instant she did not care anymore. Onceler still sat there looking at her, he then had a bit of a smirk.
"Deep in thought?", He asked,
Iris slowly walked over to him and stood in front of him. Everything became a blur after that. One moment she was standing and the next on his lap entangled with him. Moaning and riding, Onceler stuffed a glove in her mouth.
