Isn't it just so pretty to think all along there were some invisible string, tying you to me...

Harry

The curly-haired boy sat slouched against an elm tree in the serene park. The branches above provided welcomed shade over a patch of soft, green grass, making it the perfect spot to read, in Harry's opinion.

So far he had reached the middle of the summer holidays alone, collecting freckles on his nose and reading classic romance novels to pass the time. His vivid green eyes cast downwards and scanned through the pages of his 7th book within the past few weeks.

Harry had already spent half the summer reading in this exact location, to a point where the plush grass would've already moulded to his body. He wouldn't even be surprised if vines started growing over his unmoving figure.

His dreamy mind was spiralling away from reality, absorbed in the words of his book. As the words captivated Harry, he found himself fantasising about his own unrealistic romances which he always loved to picture in his head.

Who knew? Maybe if he stayed unnoticed in the park long enough, he would meet somebody or maybe just maybe the vines would wrap around him like a statue and he will be forced to stay there alone forever.

And that was how Harry's summer was. Reading romance, dreaming and eating frozen yogurt in the park. It was not the typical activities you would expect a 16-year-old boy to be doing during the school break, but to Harry, it was bliss.

The frozen yogurt was a necessity at this point. There was simply nothing better than a refreshing, sweet and creamy snack to contrast from the warm rays of sun that burned your skin. Hence the reason why Harry decided now was an acceptable time to go get some.

It was late afternoon and Harry was hungry. Once he finished his chapter, he dog-eared the page and shut the book. God, he had read so much already. Time really did fly when you're engrossed in a book.

He looked up and brushed his dangling chocolate curls away from his brow, whilst vision glaring in the sun. He abruptly stood up, bones cracking from stiffness, and steadied himself.

Luckily for him, the yogurt shop was right across the road from the park. So close in fact, that you could see the front of the shop from where he was sitting, which adds to another reason why it's his favourite spot to sit. The convenience was appreciated by Harry as he made the short distance trip across the road.

When he stepped into the air-conditioned shop, the sweet aroma filled his lungs as he walked up to the counter. The person working on the other side of the counter was a boy whose back was facing him. Once he noticed Harry's presence in the shop, he turned around only to leave Harry breathless at the mesmerising sight in front of him.

Feathery, caramel hair, tanned skin, red lips and defined cheekbones. The boy was undeniably striking.

Everything about him was effortless. Harry couldn't explain it- something about him just left you in awe, like you could watch him for hours and never get bored.

He was wearing a button-up teal shirt that hung off his frame. The shirt was mandatory uniform for the yogurt shop workers, but somehow he made it look flattering. The bright colour of the shirt even matched his eyes.

And, god, his eyes.

When Harry made eye contact, it felt like an electric shock ran through him, making his heart accelerate and stomach tingle. The other boy was gazing back at him through clear cerulean eyes, full of life and brilliance that were already drawing him in.

He was looking straight at Harry, expectant for him to order. The curly-haired boy swallowed the lump in his throat and managed to find his voice to order fluently. He recited his usual order while glancing at the Teal Shirt Boy who was writing down his order in deep concentration.
