"So, we can't go home then," asked Simon in a calm voice and an emotionless face but was still angry.

"Not yet. But there is only one way you may return home, fight of all the incoming waves," said Aultcray.

"But Sir, does that mean we'll have to fight alongside a criminal like them," asked Motoyasu.

"Screw you guys! Who needs you I got Simon and his family with him here we can beat the wave on our own," yelled Naofumi.

Naofumi and Simon pushed the knights away.

"Don't move!" said a knight trying to hold Naofumi and Simon down.

"Get the hell off us!" scream Naofumi.

Simon pushed he's hand out sending the knight away from them.

"What'll it be, king? Are you gonna have us rot in jail in-between every wave?" asked Naofumi.

"There is no more time before the next wave, so I won't be imprisoning you. Scum or not, you're still a hero, and one of the only beings left who can fight them all off. But news of your crime is already spreading among the people, that is your punishment. You should never expect to be allowed to lead a decent life in this country," said Aultcray.

Naofumi was to say something when he suddenly hears a laughing, he looked at Simon he was laughing quietly, but it got louder and louder until he was full on laughing like a mad man surprising everyone except his family and friends.

"You think I give a shit what these people think about me I don't, but I do care about what they think about Naofumi. It doesn't matter what the people out there believe what this lying bitch says, as long as I'm standing, I can make life here so easy for us," said Simon with a smirk.

The king did not like how cocky Simon acting like he won this.

"Who said that you have the same punishment! For assaulting your party member and planed assault against Myne you will be executed immediately!" yelled Aultcray.

Simon looked at the king with a bored look not scared or intimidated by the king's threat.

"I thought you said you couldn't kill us since we're heroes, and like Felicia said she consented but you just won't listen," said Simon.

"It's obvious, she says that because she blinded be her love for you, and we don't need two criminal scums roaming the streets we only need one of you to be the shield hero, guards take this filth to the guillotine!" exclaimed Aultcray.

The knights approached Simon as he looked Myne who was smirk at him. Simon looked at the noble woman from yesterday who looked worried and then at his family and friends who didn't look worried except Naofumi. He looked at his mom who gave him a nodded letting him know not to hold back and he nodded back as his nails grow sharp.

"You're going to rot in hell you damn Demi--"

The knight that was in fort of Simon was cut off when Simon moved his hand across his neck decapitating the knight, as the knight's head and body hit the ground everyone looked at Simon in shock.
