Cal had known that he was a demigod and about Khonsu. You see Khonsu owed Set a favor which when Set took over Ricarro's body during the Cleopatra ball and a little after causing problems for Cal we get to the point where they're on Mercury and Set said he would Grant any wish Cal wanted. Installed of saying he wanted Rocarro back do to him knowing that Rocarro was actually dead and him knowing that momiji was dead as well (She was killed by Drannus) and after killing Inmo. Cal had went crazy a little bit and this Leeds us to Mercury. Sense Ricarro's dead and Cal going crazy this makes him want to be by anything or anybody that is one connected to Rocarro or reminds him of Rocarro. (You put it together) Cal tells Set that he wants him, which causes Set to get surprises by Cal saying this as Cal wouldn't have said this before so Set starts putting things together and realizes he finally broke Cal and agrees to Cal's request with a few terms of his own.
