"Annabelle Lynn Carmichael! What on earth do you think your doing? You didn't come to dinner, and now your holding hands with the filthy servent!" Coopers warm hand left my hand quickly, and my mothers cold stare froze my whole body. "I'm so sorry your majesty! This is all my fault. I took the princess out on a ride and we lost track of time. She said it wasn't a big deal so we." Mom started right up again. "Wasn't a big deal? Wasn't a big deal! So you think that since she missed dinner with her family she can just hang around all night with a peasant like you? Well well well, you are sadly mistaken." She went on and on screaming at us, and with every word Cooper seemed to shrink. Finally I fought back. "Enough! I never go to dinner with you and the rest of my crazy and bossy family anyway, and weather you like it or not you don't control my life. So if I want to stay out riding and eat dinner with a servant, who happens to have a name, then I will." Mom gave me the ugliest look ever. "Excuse me?" She didn't scare me. "I said enough. I never go to dinner with you and the rest of my crazy and boss-"
"I heard what you said! What makes you think you can talk to me like that? I am your mom!" She was shaking with anger, but that didn't stop me from firing right back. "No. Your not. Your not my mom. My mom was sweet, and kind, and loving. My mom didn't care about fame or fortune. My mom that love was more powerful than anything on earth, but my mom. Well, I think she left along with Adrian because she sure isn't the women in front of me." Not sure what to say next she gave us one last nasty glare and walked away in rage. "I'm so sorry about her Cooper! She's so, well, her. This wasn't your fault at all she's just dramatic. I had a wonderful night, and thank you for everything." Cooper still looked shocked and embarrassed but he spoke with clarity. "It was my pleasure Annie." I looked shocked. Not because it was improper, which it slightly was, but because the last person who called me that was my dad. " I mean Your Highness." His face was burning red, and I could tell he was waiting for his punishment. "Annie is just fine. In fact, I love it." Cooper looked relieved. "Well, good night, Annie." He walked away full with confidence again. His long dirty blonde hair swept across his face as he walked away. His clothes were smelly, and holy, and anything but clean, but he still looked handsome. "Wait!" I called after him. He turned around quickly. "See you tomorrow?" His smile seemed of one from the movies that could blind you. "Of course." Again he turned away walking hastily down the hall trying not to be seen. I open the door into my room with childish smile in my face. Tomorrow couldn't come soon enough

"Oh and his smile! It could just melt you heart. Oh and his hair! It makes his eyes stand out like two diamonds in the sky. Oh and his eyes!"
"Ok ok I get it. Sounds like you've got your self quite the catch!" Baylee stroked my wet hair over and over again, preparing me for bed. "The only bad thing is mom freaked out when she saw us together. Out of all times to actually pay attention to me, why now."
"Well that just makes this all the better!"
"Um... Baylee? Did you not hear me? Moms going to do everything she can to keep us from seeing each other!"
"I know! A forbidden love! You guys will have to sneak around, plan secret picnics, take walks after curfew. How romantic!"
"Baylee, you might just be the most positive and optimistic person I've met!" She tossed her long golden hair over her shoulder. "I know," she said cheerfully. I laughed. It was good to have a friend like Baylee. Someone who would listen to your problems, but still wasn't to shy to tell her own tales. Someone who had a shoulder for you to cry on, but still had a humorous side. Someone who you considered your best friend, but you could boss around. We talked for a few more hours then I finally went to bed with a smile spread across my face.

I woke up at 6:30. Baylee styled my hair then dressed me in my best horse riding outfit. I applied a light coat of make up and set out towards the stables. "Annabelle! Annabelle!" Elizabeth was running down the hall at the speed of a locomotive. "Woah. Slow down. What's got your ponytail in a twist?" I could see now that tears were streaming down her face and she was holding a singed, headless Barbie doll. She spoke shakily through hiccups. "Celeste. She. She. Layla." Between the broken doll and the stuttered  words I could understand what she meant. I was going to miss my date with Cooper. "Its ok Lizzy." I scooped her up and started walking down the halls, away from the stables. Once we reached Celeste and Cynthia's room, the smell of burnt plastic filled the halls, and I could hear laughter on the other side of the door. I could do this nicely or play it their way and scream till my lungs hurt. I was missing my date. Option two it was. I pushed open the door and started the fire. "What do you think your doing!" I screamed rather then stating it as a question. "Umm. Laughing cause your sisters precious, and very ugly, doll now is out of our lives. Duh."
"Our father gave that to her! You had no right to do that!" For a second I thought I had them feeling guilty, but I knew better.  "Oh and what are you going to do? Tell your mommy on us?" She said mockingly. "In case you haven't realized the position of her favorite child has been replaced, but who could blame her. I mean, we are more pretty, talented, proper, smart..." I knew I'd have hell to pay, but I didn't care. I punched her square in the face. I felt guilty for hardly a second when I had remembered all the things she'd done to us. Celeste's scream rang through the castle as blood ran down from her nose. Cynthia stood back shocked, not knowing what to do. Elizabeth looked slightly scared, but mostly pleased because she too knew she deserved it. Two guards came rushing into the room. "Your highness!" The took one look at the scene then looked at me. "I know, I know. Go to your room and wait until your mother decides what to do with you." I said mocking the deep voice of the two guards. "And no. I don't need an escort. I believe I know the way." I was rather surprised but very pleased when the guards actually let me go alone with not another word. Though after all, there precious princess might need medical attention for her bloody nose which had already stopped bleeding. I started walking out the door slowly, looking as if I felt guilty. Then after the door was no longer visible I made a beeline for the stables. Cooper looked like a kicked puppy, but I couldn't blame him. He had a small hope that dating the princess might actually happen, but instead he was stood up. I knew that as soon as my mom heard the news she would drop everything and rush to my room to scream at me. I estimated eight minutes (thank goodness for large castles). "Cooper!" He turned around quickly. I spoke fast not pausing to take breaths "I am so sorry, I know I'm late which is a really long story. Anyways lets just say I punched my bratty stepsister in the face because she destroyed my sisters doll that my dad gave to her, and now my mom probably is finding out what I did and preparing the biggest scolding of my life so I have about six minutes to get back in my room. I just wanted to say I'm sorry I'm such a rebel and that if you could I would love to meet here at midnight. If you can't or don't want to that's ok, I totally understand. Ok I gotta go I'm so sorry!" I took a big breath and started to run. "Wait!" I turned around and realized Cooper was running towards me. "That's sounds great." I flashed a smile then turned around again ready to run. "Oh and Annie." I paused hopeful it would be quick. "Remember to breath." I laughed then waved goodbye as I ran away.
