Rishabh's Pov

I sat in my car, tapping my fingers on the steering wheel, as I waited for Aradhana to come out of the house. I saw Aradhana walking towards me. She looked beautiful, as always. I couldn't deny that fact, even though I hated to admit it.

She got into my car and sat on the passenger seat. I noticed that she wasn't wearing a seatbelt, so I told her, 'Wear your seatbelt,' I said in a stern voice.

She rolled her eyes, but she complied with my request. There was an awkward silence between us, and I couldn't take it anymore. I had to break the silence. 'So, where do you work?' I asked, trying to make small talk.

'I work at Beauty Destination,' she replied, still busy on her phone.

I couldn't help but feel a little annoyed that she was so engrossed in her phone, even when I was sitting right next to her. I mean, girls were usually dying to be around me, but here my own wife was ignoring me. My subconscious mind piped up, reminding me that I had told her not to expect anything from me. I silenced it, not wanting to dwell on that right now.

We finally reached her workplace, and she quickly got out of the car. 'Thank you,' she said before walking away.

I watched her walk away, and I couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment. I didn't know why, but I wanted her to stay with me a little longer. I shook my head, trying to get rid of these thoughts, and drove to my office.

As soon as I entered my office, everyone greeted me, but I just nodded in response. I walked towards my cabin, which was on the 45th floor. As I entered, I saw Manish sitting in my cabin.

'What the hell, Manish? Get out of my cabin,' I growled.

Manish just laughed and said, 'Relax, Rishabh. Your things are mine, and my things are also mine. So why should I need your permission to enter my own cabin?'

I rolled my eyes at his audacity. He was the only person who could enter my cabin without my permission. I took my seat.

'What are you doing here?' I asked, trying to hide my irritation.

'Just wanted to discuss some work with you,' he replied with a smirk.

'What work do you want to discuss?' I asked, trying to keep my tone civil.

He leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms over his chest. 'I wanted to talk to you about Aradhana,' he said, his tone slightly mocking.

I raised an eyebrow in confusion. 'Why would you want to discuss my wife?'

Manish just laughed, clearly enjoying my irritation. "My wife." When and how did it happen? I need details about the progress, brother,' he said, a teasing glint in his eyes.

I could feel my temper rising. 'Shut up and get out,' I snapped.

He held up his hands in mock surrender. 'Relax, bro. I just wanted to know how my sister is doing. Are you treating her well or not?' He asked, his tone turning serious.
