"You need to learn more little sister" I said as I saw Amelia, trying to sneak out of the house again. While Elena was calm and composed, Amelia was free-spirited but that didn't mean she could sneak out. Her safety is above everything else.
"Carlos it's my friend's birthday, everyone will be there" She whined like I expected.
"Take your bodyguards with you and you are free to go," I said with my eyes on the phone. Massimo had sent me a message, I was waiting for it. She huffed in anger. I didn't know what was her problem with bodyguards.
"It makes me stand out and my friends feel uncomfortable" She answered the unasked. I gave her a stern gaze because I wasn't going to negotiate on it.
"Go out with them or you will stay in the house, Amelia. I am going to the compound, don't try anything" I glanced at her bodyguard Salvatore and he gave me a nod. Amelia glared at me before making puppy eyes but she forgot they didn't work on me anymore.
"With bodyguards" I mumbled getting on my way. I dialled my underboss Sebastian Moreno. He picked it up after three rings which already irritated me because he wasn't working or else he would have picked it up earlier.
Sebastian was more of a friend than my underboss and that gave him much more freedom than an underboss. "Reach at the compound, I want you there when I walk in" I didn't pause for him to reply. What a good start for the day!

Diego gave me a nod while all the other men kept their heads down when I walked out. Respect is earned but fear is what keeps it going. My father ran the organization in his own way but after him, I was the leader and I would run it in my way.
