"What time is the next person suppose to be here he's getting fussy." Megan asked Starting to Breastfeed Amir he calms down leaning into Megan's touch.
"She should be here any minute." Travis said looking at his phone. Within minutes the doorbell rung and Travis answered. "I'm so sorry I'm late traffic was really bad." The women spoke rushing inside.
Finally looking up her and Travis locked eyes before speaking again. "Wait, Travis is that really you?" Smiling he gave her a friendly hug throwing Megan all the way off.
Clearing her throat they finally acknowledge Megan's presents. "Babe this is Jaden , we meet from an old friend years ago." Jaden went to shake her hand but Megan signaled to the baby showing her hands were full.
In all honesty she didn't want to shake her hand. She felt this whole thing was weird. She never heard. Of her. "Okay let's all sit we have few questions." Travis leads them to the couch as Megan sits close to Travis.
"So it says here you have prior experience at a daycare and babysitting for three years." Jaden nods in agreement. "I've loved kids and always wondered what I would do in life and this was it."
"Ok from the looks of it everything is fine." He said looking through her history. "Do you have any question babe?" He asked turning to face Megan. Shaking her head she gets up.
"No, she can see her self out though." Walking past them she goes to put Amir to bed as Travis walks her out. She was starting to think this whole thing was a bad idea.
•••••••••••••••••• After taking an hour nap with Amir Megan gets up and starts to clean. Hearing Travis come from behind he starts to help her with the dishes.
"So how do you feel about everything? You seem stressed." He suggested making Megan even more angrier. Slamming a dish down Travis backs away looking confused.
Taking a deep breath Megan backs away leaning against the counter. "Who is this Jaden girl and why haven't you told me about her?" She whispered trying not to wake the baby.
"Megan I told you she's an old friend what's the big deal?" Shaking her head she laughed trying to calm down. "So she just so Happened to be one of the people you picked to do an interview with?"
Looking at Megan in disbelief Travis walks closer to calm her down. "What is this, why am I being interrogated I'm just trying to find a safe route for our son?"
Megan didn't like this at all she did agree to find a nanny but her idea was more of an older lady. She didn't want any young girls trying to mess anything up between them.
Feeling tears form Megan fans her face as Travis tried to pull her in for a hug. Pushing him away she wipes her tears. "Baby I'm here okay for whatever you need. You're the only woman I want, the only one I see I wish you could understand that."
Travis could tell her emotions changed drastically from after she had the baby. He figured it was somewhat normal she just gave birth to a whole human being.
He wanted to be there for her in this moment and show her she is appreciated. "How about I drop Amir off at my parents and we go out?"
"Like a date?" Megan asked trying to hide her smile. She couldn't remember the last time her and Travis went on a date. "Get dressed real sexy for me and the whole night will be ours." Taking a deep breath Travis wipes her tears kissing her.
"I'm sorry for how I acted it's been really hard trying to control and express my emotions, I love you." She spoke kissing him again and laying into his arms. "I love you too."
••••••••••••••••••• Once Travis dropped off the baby Megan started to get dressed. She tried on almost everything in the closet not liking how anything fit. "Why?" She mumbled flopping on the bed.
Noticing Travis's phone on the bed she opens it giving into temptation. Seeing the last messages were from Jaden she goes through their messages. It was clear she was trying to flirt and Travis clearly wasn't directly shutting it down.
Going further into their messages she could see they meet up a few weeks ago. So he lied to Megan straight to her face. Hearing him walk down the hall Megan quickly throws his phone back on the bed.
"Everything's all set with Amir, you ready to go?" Deciding to not make a big deal out of it for now Megan keeps her cool. "You left your phone." She said throwing it at him.
"You sure you're okay?" He asked as they walked out the house. "I'm fine let's just eat and get this over with." Slamming the car door Megan couldn't wait for this to be over. She couldn't believe he lied, she wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but the proof was right in front of her.
Hey guys this is just a little update to give you for being patient. Looks like there's trouble in paradise already for Travis and Megan. I know it's not much of anything but the writers block for this book is a pain.
