Only when freshmen started did his mum managed to support both of them again with her new found job. Jungwon finally got the time to study and managed to do well so far. But again, it took up time and in the end, he never really managed to do anything fun.

Jay stared at him, a look in his eyes that showed somewhat pity and emphaty. He smiled when Jungwon faced him and whispered in his ear.

"I'm glad you're finally enjoying yourself."

Jungwon flushed at the comment and hid his face from Jay, who laughed and led the way into the Cafe, greeted by a worker there.

"Hi! Welcome! Are you guys here to book slots?" The lady, her name tag read 'Yeji', asked, a welcoming smile on his face.

"Yes. How long would you like to stay here?" Jay looked down at Jungwon as he asked the question and Jungwon's eyes met Jay's gentle gaze. His breath hitched for some reason, but he managed to get a hold of himself.

"A-an hour is fine," he stuttered, facing the cats that were on the other side of a small gate. Some of them had already gathered at the gate, looking up at Jungwon with curios boba eyes. They mewed when his eyes met theirs, and Jungwon's heart melted as he smiled widely.

"Okay, you may proceed," Yeji's voice interrupted the moment, and Jungwon let her step ahead of him and Jay so she could open the gate. She gently scolded the cats there and told them to move in, which they obediently did.

"Enjoy! Oh and by the way, I may be assuming things, but you two look so cute together," Yeji giggled when Jungwon's face flushed.

"Um...we're not-"

"Uh, thanks," Jay said at the same time, causing Jungwon to whip his head around and face Jay, shocked. Jay gave an equally surprised face and Yeji laughed.

"Together or not, I ship," she smiled slyly and closed the gate behind them, humming slightly as she skipped into the staff room.

She left the two of them alone now, only surrounded by cats who were purring for their attention. Jay looked away, and Jungwon thought he almost saw him blushing. Not that Jungwon wasn't too since like, what the heck was that?

"Hey, we should sit down," Jay whispered and Jungwon nodded, and then they both sat their asses down on the cool floor awkwardly. Meanwhile, Jungwon looked around the room and saw the walls painted white, the ceiling was beige and there were prints of cats everywhere on the walls.

The space was comfy, and Jungwon sighed in relief. He was actually there, just like he had wished he would be.
Just then, he spotted a orange and white furred cat, with big boba eyes, and the cutest expression on its face. Instinctively, Jungwon headed towards it slowly, crawling slowly and looking it in the eye.

The little thing backed away a bit at first, but soon, he stepped forward to sniff Jungwon's finger and eventually rubbed his head against his hand.
Jungwon eagerly picked it up, scooted back to his original place, and placed it in his lap.

It began purring and Jungwon giggled, stroking his belly. He then heard Jay chuckling softly and looked up to see the older glancing at the cat in his lap, and then at him.

"She's cute," Jay complimented, and Jungwon looked down again, about to agree when his head snapped up again.

"She?" He looked at Jay questioningly. Now, he was stroking a black furred cat with slight green eyes. It purred under his touch.

"Yeah. She's a she," Jay simply replied, then pointed at the cat he was stroking, "and he's a he."

"How do you know?"

Jay looked over at Jungwon, and his piercing eyes met Jungwon's impressed ones. He smiled slightly. "I know how to read the genders. My uncle's a vet, so I learn a few things from him here and there. Oh look, that must be her mate," he pointed out when the black cat started rubbing his nose against the white-orange one.

"Ummm, pda," Jungwon said, when the she cat jumped out of his lap to snuggle with her husband.

"Hah! She's kinda like you though," Jay commented, and Jungwon looked at him, a done expression on his face. Jay laughed even harder.

"Yeah well, the black ones seems sooo like you," Jungwon scoffed and Jay flipped his hair, which caused Jungwon's facade to break immediately and the both of them broke down into fits of giggles.

Thank god for the two cats, the tension earlier had broken due to their presence. You could almost see their little mouths grinning slyly at the interaction between the two men.
