I exited my room once I had unpacked and settled and made my way to the lobby, I walked down the grand staircase and all heads turned to me, and Charlotte approached me. Or Charlie? Is that what they call her?
"Let me introduce you to everyone, okay?"
I nodded.
We approached the others and Charlie pointed to a familiar-looking girl, she had long White-grey-ish hair with a big red bow tied to her hair. She had a red shirt, gloves, and a skirt. She had an x over one eye... was she a former exterminator?!
"Let's start with staff. This is Vaggie! My girlfriend and business partner! If I'm not around and you need something go to her okay?" Charlie said.
"Got it," Charlie continued, pointing to a cat-looking figure with red wings, black and gold eyes, with a bottle of what I assumed was booze.
"That's Husk, our bartender," He waved before getting back to wiping the bar. She then pointed to a tiny figure with one eye, she gave me eerie vibes, "That's Nifty, our maid."
Charlie paused seemingly looking for someone, "Where's Alastor?" She asked Vaggie who just shrugged, "I don't know. The angel can always meet him later, it's fine," Charlie looked disappointed but nodded.
"And Next, our guests," She pointed to a spider demon on the couch, "That's Angel Dust," he had mismatched eyes and a pink-striped suit, "Sup' toots." I waved slightly confused at the nickname.
Charlie pointed to the other guest, "Last but not least this is Sir Pentious," He was a snake demon with egg dudes surrounding him. He had a top hat on with a suit, "Hello, Miss Angel," He said politely. "Hello, you can call me Y/N," I said with a slight smile, the sinner nodded.
"And that should be everyone! Except Alastor of course," Charlie said turning to me.
"Who's Alastor?-" Vaggie spoke before Charlie, "A manipulative prick, don't trust him."
Charlie chuckled slightly, "He's not that bad. Vaggie and Al just aren't on the best terms is all! Don't worry, you'll like him. Anyway, I have a meeting to go to so just explore the hotel and get used to things," She waved, smiling while leaving with Vaggie following close behind her.
I sighed and looked around the lobby, walking back up the big staircase and exploring the hotel to get a feel of where things are.
While I was walking, an unfamiliar radio-like voice spoke, "You're new. May I ask you're name dear?" I turned my head to see a big smile. He had animal ears with deer horns, and an old-fashioned style with a cane that had a microphone eye on top.
"Im Y/N. I assume you're... Alastor? Right?" I asked.
"Yes dear. And I assume you're the angel they sent down to inspect the hotel? Let me say you're... endering," He said his voice crackling in radio static and his antlers growing. It gave me chills and made my wings scrunch up behind me with frizzed up feathers.
"I.. uhm. Yes, I'm the angel they sent," I changed the subject because I didn't like where he was going with this.
"Anyway... I should continue exploring the hotel! Bye!" I quickly rushed off not turning back. I felt his eerie eyes on my back... or my wings.
"Very well darling..." He said in his freaky tone. I sped up.
After that... awkward encounter I walked around the hotel, noting any uncleanness or broken etc. parts that needed fixing.
I wanted this redemption Idea thing to work. I believed Charlie could do it. Her co-workers seemed reliable to I guess. Her hotel however needed a few touch-ups. Charlie had that fire that could never be shut down inside her. It was admirable honestly.
I just needed proof it could work so that Sera could put her trust in the idea... But how would I get that...?
I sighed to myself as I opened the door entering my hotel room. Another thing, the room designs for each guest were unique. And that's a good thing for a hotel as such could have. Makes things entertaining I suppose.
I sat on my desk chair and sighed as I pulled out a piece of paper. I guess it would be good to send Sera a letter to let her know how well it was going. Although nothing big has happened yet, I felt it was appropriate to let her know I was settling well. Also mostly Adam too. He had given me several lectures about the changes in hell. At first, I was annoyed but now I'm grateful he did. Gave me a warning I guess.
I undid my hair feeling the soft C/H graze my neck, I began writing the letter. After I finished I wrapped it up and used the dove Sera and Emily gifted me to send it accordingly. The dove flew through the window and disappeared into oblivion. 'That's cool' I thought as I sat up from the chair changing out of my robe into comfy pajamas.
I plopped on the surprisingly soft and comfy bed and closed my eyes as I felt the exhaustion of today catch up to me.
I fell into a comfy slumber that night.
This felt sorta rushed but oh well.
