He squeezed her hand again, a small signal that he wanted to say something a little bit personal.

His eyes locked with hers as he spoke, "I missed you..." He mumbled softly, but firmly.

"I missed you too."

"I missed you so much..." He uttered, as a soft yet subtle smile appeared on his face.

It had been far too long without her, and all of those lonely and isolated nights had finally paid off just now, as he was finally reunited with her once again.

"I like you..." He finally admitted in a murmur, as he looked into her eyes, his thumb brushing against her hands.

His heart was beating fast, and he couldn't stop himself from smiling when he finally admitted his words of admiration towards her.

"You mean that?" She felt tears rolling down her cheeks, "I like you, too."

"You like me too...?" He uttered in a whisper, his grin widening as he asked the question.

He knew that she liked him as well, she always had after all. But hearing her say those words back to him, meant just as much to him as when he said it right now.

He couldn't help but smirk slightly as she spoke, a small blush was rising back on his cheeks as he heard his words back.

He loved her, and he loved hearing lovey dovey words, as they made his heart beat a little bit faster.

He couldn't help but lean forward and plant a small, gentle kiss on her lips.

"I'd thought I lost you, I'm so glad you're safe." She cried.

He couldn't help but feel a little bit of his pride slip away when he heard her words.

He didn't want to admit it, but he could say that hearing her say that she was so glad he was safe made him slightly happy inside.

He knew he would be lying if he said the words didn't mean much to him, so he responded truthfully before he could regret it.

"... I would never...I would never leave you." He muttered, as his eyes began to slightly glisten with emotion.

"You're the only person I'd never leave..." He managed to blurt out, as he could hear himself finally letting out his emotion.

It was as if something had snapped inside of him, and his pride and ego had suddenly left him.

He was finally saying everything he'd wanted to say for so long, and it was just now starting to sink in that he had the ability to finally say it again...

She had seen a side of him that he had hidden for so long, and it was refreshing for her to finally see his sensitive side.

He looked vulnerable and tender.

She slowly pulled him in a warm, tender hug as she pulled him into her chest for a second, she then pushed him right back out, as she brushed his cheek.

"I'm glad you're back..." She murmured as she smiled at him.

".. I'm glad too..." He murmured back, as his soft smile remained.
