We are violent
In the sense of survival
But, abnormal animals ask:
Why must you kill me? To show me off? Preserved in a jar? Mounted on a wall?
Plunge
Dive deeper
The deeper you go
The more the ocean reveals itself
A single glowing eye locks onto your form
Why do you doubt its existence?
Not showing itself to protect its kind
The giant squid
Proved itself once
Just once
To show it was there
Just that once
It wasn’t killed
The Leviathan, White Whale
Might have also
If fishermen hadn’t thought of it as a threat, monster, had tried to spear it through its flesh
But as a marvel
Admired from afar
Why do you want to kill everything you see?
To prove you saw it?
Anything out of the ordinary is automatically photographed and mounted to a wall
Please, let the two-headed calf live
Let it remain a secret between you and the calf
Dare you tell a soul,
The calf is sold off
Gone
Locked in a cage for all innocent eyes to gaze upon and point at
Dead, probably
All to prove you’ve seen how wondrous the world can be, Could be
Given as miracles
Dead as anomalies

Science FictionThis will be a collection of all the little writings I do just because. Some of the stories will deal with darker subjects such as death and body dysmorphia. I also drew to cover art.
