SCENE: IN HOSTEL ROOM - EARLY MORNING
Darkness. Suddenly....
BAM!
Siddharth's eyes snap open. He jerks upright, breathing heavily. Sweat clings to his forehead. His heart races in his chest. He blinks rapidly and looks around.
A messy bunk bed. Posters of old movies. A cracked switchboard. A fan groaning above. The stale smell of socks and instant noodles.
Sidd (stammering): Yeh... yeh toh... mera old hostel room hai?
He jumps off the bed, wobbling slightly. The old blue Nokia phone lies on the side table. He grabs it and opens the calendar app.
SCREEN: Date: 3rd July 2019. Monday.
His hands start shaking.
Sidd (whispering): Six years... I'm six years in the past...
He rushes to the mirror...gapes at his reflection. His clean-shaven face. The college ID hanging on the hook. His eyes widen.
Sidd : Yeh koi joke hai? Nahi... yeh sab... sach hai?
KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!
Vaish (from outside):
Siddu door khol... varna tod dungi!
Sidd's heart skips a beat. He freezes.
Sidd (softly): Exact same line... same voice... same moment...
Vaish: Kumbhkaran ke rishtedaar! Din bhar sote rehna ka iraada hai kya?
Siddh (shouting, breathless): Aaaya dii! Ek second!
He opens the door, and there stands Vaish...hands on her waist, glasses slipping down her nose, and that same furious frown.
Vaish: Hatt! Kahan hai tera nikkama bhai?
Sidd stares at her like he's seeing her for the first time.
Vaish (suspicious): Kya dekh raha hai? Alien lag rahi hoon kya?
Siddh (whispering, overwhelmed): Di...aap bilkul waise hi lag rahi ho jaise pehle din lagi thi.
Vaish: Abey what nonsense...
Sidd (stopped staring her) : Um..k..kuch nhi dii
Vaish stands frozen, stunned.
Vaish: Tu thik toh hai? Stammer kyun kr rha hai achanak
Sidd (laughing nervously): Bas... sapne mein alien dekh liya tha shayad.
Vaish (eye-roll): Paagal. Chal nasta bana rahi hoon. Bina nahaaye aana mat!
She walks away muttering. Sidd shuts the door and turns around to see Shagun still snoring and Abhi curled up with a book on his chest.
Sidd (softly): Sab bilkul vaisa hi ho rha hai...maybe....maybe I can change the destiny?
He smiles.

SCENE: BUS STOP - LATER THAT MORNING
Sidd runs, panting. He's late. His bag keeps slipping off his shoulder.
He remembers... the water splash, the trip over the banner, and then...
SPLASH!
The same aunty accidentally throws water from the balcony. He flinches, but then grins.
Lady: Oh beta, sorry!
