Need for speed

(Mia’s POV)

-1 Week later-

Dear Diary,                                                                     22.01.13

                  It’s been a while, I know but I’m ‘unstable’. Emotionally and physically, Liam and I are done, my parents are getting a divorce and my lungs can’t work on their own anymore. I’m done, finished, there’s no point of me being alive anymore. I’m going to die; I can feel deaths cold, dark presence standing over me, waiting.

Esme, Beth and Lauren can’t see me anymore, they can see me without crying or telling me to fight. It’s too late now, the doctors say I have weeks at most so there is no point in fighting for a life I don’t want. There’s so much I still want to do with my life, travel, fall in love, learn how to drive. There’s so much I’m going to miss out in.

This could be one of my final days and all I want to say to whoever is reading this. Tell my parents I’m sorry, tell Liam I’ll miss him and tell my friends to keep calm and carry on fangirling, tell them to make sure that Liam is happy. Tell everyone that nothing’s changed and it never will.

I closed my laptops screen and resumed my sleep. I’m too weak to do anything else; I can’t cope with this anymore.

“Mia? Babe, you okay?” Liam’s sweet voice was like music to my ears, it’s been almost 1 week since we’ve spoke.

“Hi...” I breathed.

Liam smiled fondly at me before placing his hand on mine. “So you want to learn how to drive?”

“Yeah, but how......”

“I brought my Xbox; let’s play some ‘Need For Speed’” I chuckled warmly at his words. He handed me the controller and showed me which button was which. “You fail at this, that’s they fifth time you’ve killed someone and got caught!” he explained.

I just gave a weak laugh, that’s another thing off of my bucket list.
