Falling in love with you.

[Alex POV]

As I ran with Jay in my arms, I noticed Jay's coughs suddenly stopped. I looked down at him, thinking that we were far away from The Operator now... but I was wrong. I saw that his eyes were shut and he looked like he passed out or something. My heart raced at the sight. I looked behind myself and saw The Operator, now a distance away, staring at me.

"Goddammit." I whispered.

I quickly went back to running, not sure of where I was going, but I knew I needed to either get Jay back to the hotel, or take him to my apartment. I eventually settled on taking him to my apartment since I don't have a key or anything to his hotel room (even though bro has a spare key to Alex's apartment LMFAO).

After what seemed to be like hours of running through the forest, I finally got out with Jay still in my arms. I noticed my car out in the distance in the parking lot. I began to run to it.

Once I got to my car, I opened the door to the passenger seat and gently sat Jay down onto it. I shut the door and ran to the other side, getting into the driver's seat. I turned on the car and pulled out of the parking lot, driving back to my apartment. I glanced over at Jay every now and then to see if he's awake, which was no surprise when he wasn't.

After arriving at my apartment, I got out of the car and carried Jay to my apartment door. I managed to open it while Jay was still in my arms (give a round of applause for Alex having such great talent 👏). Once it was open, I hurried inside and shut the door. I walked over to my couch and laid Jay down on it. I looked at Jay, worried about if he'll never wake up.

(Time skip: 1 hour)
yes, he was out like a light for a whole ass hour...

[Jay POV]

I slowly began to wake up. My eyes fluttered open as I realized I was somewhere else. I sat up quickly, looking around. I was in Alex's apartment, on his couch. Alex heard movement (Spidey senses...) and walked out of his room, just to see me wide awake. He then rushed over to me.

"Oh my God. Jay, are you alright..?" Alex asked, concerned about me.

"I think so... W-What happened?" I asked, my memory a little fuzzy.

Alex let out a small sigh. "Well, uh... We were walking in the forest and..." Alex paused for a moment, frowning a little.

"Then we kind of... got into an argument, and I saw that thing behind you. I grabbed you and ran, but your hand slipped out of mine. And when I turned to look at you, you were on the ground, coughing up blood." Alex frowned more as he continued to explain. "I picked you up and carried you as I tried to find a way out of the forest, but you ended up passing out, which scared me really bad."

My eyes widened as I processed what Alex had explained to me. "W-Wow..."

"Yeah... Anyway, how are you feeling?" Alex asked, sitting down next to me.

"I feel fine, so far." I replied.

Alex let out a small sigh of relief. "That's good. I was really worried." Alex said, cupping my cheek gently.

A blush crept up onto my cheeks, and Alex quickly noticed.

"Jay? Your cheeks are turning a little red... Are you alright?" Alex asked, getting a little worried as he pulled his hand away.

"Y-Yeah! I'm fine.. Just a little hot in here, I guess." I lied, smiling nervously.

"Uh huh." Alex replied, obviously not buying it.

I sighed. "Alex, I'm fine. I really am." I insisted.

Alex sighed. "Alright, whatever... I hope you're not lying."

[Narrator POV]

For the rest of the day, they stayed inside the apartment, enjoying each other's company. They talked for a while, something they haven't done in years. They eventually began watching some movies, trying to forget what happened to the two earlier that day as they snuggled up under the covers. As they continued to watch the movie, Jay built up the courage to ask Alex something.

Jay hesitated for a moment. "Uhm, Alex? Can... Can I ask you something?"

"Yeah, sure. Go ahead." Alex said, not taking his eyes off the movie.

"Uh, can we maybeee... cuddle?" Jay asked, his heart pounding in his chest as he waited for Alex's response.

Alex's eyes widened a little in surprise. He looked over at Jay, his cheeks turning a little red.

"Uhm.. Yeah." Alex replied, trying to hide the blush on his cheeks.

Jay noticed Alex's hesitation. "You sure? We don't have to if you don't want to."

"No, no. I want to." Alex assured Jay.

Jay smiled a little, clearly enjoying the idea of cuddling the man he loved more than anything. "Okay!"

Jay moved closer to Alex, wrapping his arm around Alex's waist as he rested his head on his chest. Alex smiled softly at Jay, holding him close. Alex couldn't help but press a gentle kiss to Jay's head, which made Jay a blushing mess.

Alex let out a content sigh. "This is nice."

"Mhm." Jay nodded in agreement.

Alex rubbed circles on Jay's back, causing his body to relax. Jay slowly shut his eyes, drifting off to sleep. 

(Time skip to when Jay wakes up, I'm lazy af😭)

Jay yawned softly, waking up in Alex's arms, in his bed. Jay looked up at Alex with his blue eyes, still pretty sleepy.

"Well good morning, sleepyhead. How'd you sleep?" Alex asked, playing with Jay's hair.

Jay stretched a little. "Mmm.. Good." Jay replied.

"That's good to hear." Alex said, smiling softly. "Hey, uh listen..." Alex began, sitting up a little as his smile faded. "I have to.. tell you something important."

Jay sat up, looking at Alex. "Hm?"

"After everything that's happened, I-I think..." Alex paused for a moment, feeling a wave of nervousness wash over him. He let out a sigh. "I think I'm starting to fall in love with you." Alex admitted.

Jay's eyes widened in shock. He couldn't believe it. "O-Oh?"

"Yeah. Do you... Feel the same way?" Alex asked, his heart racing.

Jay nodded slowly.

Alex couldn't help but smile. "Y-You do?!"

"U-Uh, yeah.." Jay admitted, smiling nervously.

Alex instantly hugged Jay, before pulling away and pressing a kiss to Jay's cheek. "Will you be my boyfriend?" Alex asked, looking into Jay's pretty blue eyes, getting lost in them.

"I, uhm.. I-I don't know, Alex..." Jay said, frowning.

Alex's smile faded slowly. "W-What do you mean 'I don't know'..?"

"L-Look, I love you.. a lot." Jay began. "But, I don't think it's going to last long from... what we're dealing with right now and how stressed we've been about it." Jay explained. "I'm scared I'm going to lose you."

Alex cupped Jay's cheek, smiling softly at Jay. "I get that... But I promise, no matter how hard things get, I will never leave you. I will always stay by your side through this whole thing, even when it's all over." Alex assured Jay. "Okay?"

Jay smiled a little. "Okay." Jay nodded. "I love you, so much."

Alex pressed his lips against Jay's. Jay melted into the kiss, wrapping his arms around Alex. After a little bit, Alex slowly broke the kiss, looking into Jay's eyes. "I love you too, sweetheart. More than you'll ever know."
