pt. 4

Y/N POV

The next day I decided to wake up a bit earlier than usual. I don't know why but after me and Lorelei's FaceTime call last night some insecurity struck on me.

Lorelei knows how pretty she is. I have never really seen someone with the confidence as hers. If she thinks that her confidence is gonna work for her and h/n could it possibly work for me?

Everyday I usually wear the same thing. Sweat pants, a sweat shirt and my semi dirty white crocs.

So I decided to put on some jeans that are kind of ripped and black long sleeve shirt that shows a couple centimeters of my stomach.

I put in my contacts and put on some makeup. I curled my hair and put on my brown and white nike shoes.

I didn't WANT to look good, I wasn't really trying to impress anybody. I just think that I deserve this and I should be able to dress up a little bit every once ina while.

H/N POV

Sometimes I like to wake up early to workout a little bit to help out with sports or just have longer morning being on my phone. This morning I was hungrier than I usually am in the mornings and I went downstairs to get something to eat.

As I was about to walk out of my room I catch a lot of movement coming from y/n's room. I don't really know y/n's exact morning routine. But I do know that she really isn't a morning person.

I tried to see what y/n was doing so I got up closer to the window trying not to seem creepy. I could see that she had her hair curled and looked like she was doing her makeup.

Was she trying to look good for someone? Is she into someone at school? Is Lorelei making her do this now that they are friends now?

I want to know. But, wait I don't even like y/n like that. Do I? No, I don't. I just miss being friends with ig. Shes actually a really intriguing person once you get to know her.

I decide that I need to shrug this off and go downstairs.

Y/N POV

I am finally finished getting ready and I think I look really pretty.

I check the time and notice I still had 20 minutes until I had to leave for school.

I go into my bed and just watch tiktok until I have to leave.

I arrive at school and I feel really uncomfortable. I hate how my stomach might look right now, how my hair looks, and how I am not in comfy clothes right now.

My head keeps swirling in bad thoughts until Kate comes up to me.

"Omg y/n! You look really pretty today! Everything about you is so perfect right now!!"

"Aw thanks Kate, I really needed to hear that."

"I also have to tell you something that happened last night."

"What is it y/n?"

"Ok so when you weren't here Lorelei came up to me when I was sitting alone, and we exchanged numbers and we fted for a long time last night."

"What?!?! Don't you HATE Lorelei??"

"Well I thought I did but she really isn't even all that bad"

"But also last night, she kept on talking on and on about her crush on h/n. And idk she seemed super confident in herself, and she truly believes that her and h/n are gonna date at least once in the next couple year. So I thought I might try to seem more confident if Lorelei thinks that works." Y/n says while pulling her shirt down a little bit.

"You do realize that Lorelei's ego is boosted through the roof and she thinks that every dude wants her." Kate says while giving y/n a dumb look.

"I mean I guess you're right, but I think I look semi-good right now and that I should at least try to look good sometime once in a while." Y/n says.

Kate puts her hand on y/n's shoulder. "Y/n you do look amazing, you're always beautiful. Just don't change for some guy."

"I promise you I'm not, but thanks Kate" y/n says while hugging Kate and then they proceed to do their made up handshake.

It is currently fourth period, I don't really think that anyone has noticed that I have changed but that's good because I really didn't want them to.

H/n pov

As I was walking down the hallway to 7th prd I notice y/n looking a bit more different than usual. Not in a bad way or anything, just different.

I notice that she has more makeup on than usual and her hair down and a non-comfortable outfit.
I realized that that when I had looked through her window this morning, which I probably shouldn't say out loud. That she actually got up early in the morning and got ready for school, which I know is not like her.

Was my overthinking right? Does she have feeling for someone at school? Is she doing this because she is now friends with Lorelei? I want to find out. No, I need to find out.

But I can't. Because I don't like her and she doesn't like me, clearly.

Me and y/n had a 9th prd class tg, it was our last class of the day. And since I had no homework, I just kept on catching myself zoning out on the back of her hair. I probably did about 5-6 times, and I hope no one had saw because rumors spread like wildfire in this school.

Y/n pov

School had ended. Nothing really happend, but in the hallways to a couple of my periods, I had caught h/n staring at me every time I walked by him. Which obviously doesn't mean anything. But I want to know what was going on inside his head.

Tomorrow is my 15th birthday I am really excited. Nothing special is going to happen but I just know it is going to feel special. I just wish my older sister Paige, would come visit. She is a junior in college a couple states away, I really miss her. She is one of my best friends.
