Books are underappreciated.
People say,
"They're too long."
"Too boring."
"Not enough pictures."
When that's beside the point.
Books are portals to other worlds.
People see my reading and ask,
"How do you read books that hard or long?"
I simply reply back,
"Other people when they're bored simply scroll on social media. I do the opposite.
I read.
I fill my head with knowledge that some people will never know."
Then I go back to my reading, toning the others out.
Books are how I escape the pressure of school
And the craziness of the real world.
