Sky's POV

"What was that all about? I cast a Patronus, and suddenly an attractive professor starts staring at me." I asked, not realizing what I just said.
"So you think he's attractive too?" Emily fell into a lapse of giggles. I blushed lightly. What? I never blushed!
"What color did my eyes turn when I saw him?" I asked, fearing the answer.
"Turquoise," Emily said, still giggling.
I hope he doesn't know why my eyes change color... if he found out, he'd throw a fit and run away... I thought. My being a she-wolf wasn't exactly common knowledge, only my closest friends knew. The train stopped, signaling our arrival at Hogwarts. I stepped out the compartment, taking my leather shoulder bag with me. Me and Emily found a horseless carriage for ourselves, and they took the route to Hogwarts. For all the time it took to get to Hogwarts, I was thinking about where Professor Lupin could be. I mentally shook myself. He's my damn professor! We reached Hogwarts, and as soon as I stepped off my carriage, Logan Brown came over to me and slung an arm around my shoulders. I mentally sighed. He's been chasing after me for about four years now. It's not that he isn't good Iooking, nor that his personality was unattractive, I just didn't like him. I took his arm off my shoulder, and said:
"Hello Brown." I said, unsmiling, and putting on my emotionless mask.
"Ey Zack, don't I get a kiss?" Brown smirked, snaking his arm around my waist instead. I stepped out of his arms, feeling my eyes flashing red. Annoyed.
"Brown, I've told you for about four years now. I'm not interested." With that, I spun on my heel and started walking to the Great Hall, but Brown grabbed my wrist, spinning me into his chest.
"Awe come on Zack, just one kiss?" Brown puckered up his lips.
"Get away from me." My eyes weren't flashing red anymore, they stayed red.
"Is anything wrong here?" A vaguely familiar voice called. I turned, and saw Professor Lupin standing a few feet away from me and Brown.
"Oh, nothing's wrong, just courting Zack here, Professor." Brown simpered, putting on the charm, and emphasizing professor.
"Does Zack want to be courted?" Lupin asked, looking amused, and... was that irritated?
"No." I said, my voice flat, like it always was in front of strangers.
"Well then, you'd better move along, I'll have a word with Zack here," Professor Lupin said, and Brown winked at me before walking away. I rolled my still-red eyes, then turned to face Lupin.
"I'm sorry for causing a commotion in the Hall Professor, it won't happen again." I muttered, then making the mistake or looking into Professor Lupin's blue eyes. So pretty...
"Zack, are your eyes red?" Professor Lupin asked, concern in his voice. The Wolf in me growled in pleasure, she liked Lupin. My eyes widened in alarm for a moment, before I blinked and I felt my eyes return to their normal brown.
"No sir, must be a trick of the light," I said in what I hoped was a casual tone.
"If you say so...and it's alright. Has that...boy been bothering you often?" Lupin asked, now walking besides me.
"Logan Brown. Does since second year, nearly everyday, count as often?" I said, eyes turning a sky blue. Amused and happy.
Professor Lupin laughed. It was a really nice sound... remember Sky, he's Professor Lupin, I chastised myself.
"Yes, I suppose it does... look, if you ever need someone to tattle to, about Brown, I'll be happy to help." Professor Lupin smiled. I half smiled, half heartedly, knowing that I probably wouldn't go for help, but noticing that he addressed me by my first (sort of) name, but Brown by his last name. Thanking Lupin for escorting me to the door, and walked to the Gryffindor table, and sat down next to Emily.
"What did Lupin want?" Emily asked, amusement evident in her eyes. She obviously still remembered how Lupin had been staring at me on the train.
"He asked me about Brown." I said, rolling my now-brown eyes, knowing that that wasn't the full truth.
"Oh my Lord, Brown is still bothering you?"
"Yup," I replied, and we fell silent as the Sorting hat began its song, about school unity and what-not like that. I decided to use this time to sneak a peek at Professor Lupin. Apparently, we had the same idea... he blushed and looked away, but not before I raised an eyebrow at him and my eyes turned sky blue. Again... He's my teacher, Merlin, am I flirting? No, this is how I act with everyone...not. These thoughts continued until everyone started clapping as a welcome to Professor Lupin. I clapped along, and afterwards I sighed, putting my head down and feeling a head ache as a result of my overthinking. Suddenly, food appeared on the plates. I took an apple from the basket in front of me, while Emily decided to pile her plate with everything.
"Honestly Emily, how can you eat all that?" I asked her.
"Honestly Sky," Emily was one of the few people who called me by my real name, "How can you eat only that much?"

Remus POV

I smiled, taking my seat next to Snape at the Head table.
"Lupin. I see you're teaching this year," Snape said in his monotone, lip curling.
"Hello Severus. Yes, I am." I said back. He still hates me...
Professor McGonagall decided to start the sorting now, and while the hat sang its song, I snuck another glance at Zack. Her long black hair, slightly wavy, reached to her lower back. I just want to run my hands through her hair... what?! No! She's my student... at this moment, Zack decided to turn her head and look at me. She raised an eyebrow, and her eyes flash light blue. This time, it is unmistakable. I blushed, and look away. Why do her eyes change color? I had barely any time to ponder this before food appeared on the plates in front of me. I looked at Zack again. She had an apple in her hand, and was smiling to her friend, Emily. She should smile more often, it really works on her, I thought. I resisted the temptation to keep staring, and returned to my food.

Sky's POV

After dinner, we were escorted to our common rooms by out Head Boy/girl. When we reached the Gryffindor common room, I relished in the homey smell and the crack and pop of the fire. I walked up the stairs to the girl's dormitory, the one I shared with Emily, and another girl by the name of Rosaline "Evan" Hendrikson. Our usual group consisted of the three of us, sometimes pranking others. They never knew it was us though. I flopped down on my bed, grabbing my pyjamas (black mid thigh shorts, and a giant black shirt), and went to take a shower. When I left the shower, towel drying my hair, Emily and Evan were both smirking at me.
"Hey Emily, Evan. Why are you looking at me like that?" I questioned two of the only people I actually showed emotion around.
"I hear Professor Lupin was making heart eyes at you, Zack," Evan chuckled.
"If that spreads around, I won't even be able to go to Defense anymore. Don't." I said in a mock dangerous tone, making my eyes flash red but smiling.
"Don't worry, we won't say a word. Although..." Emily mused.
"Although what?" I asked, towel drying my hair on my bed, setting a picture of me and my birth parents on the bedside table.
"What do turquoise eyes mean?" Emily asked, inquiring about my 'mood eyes' that changes according the the mood of my Wolf.
"Uhm, they mean surprise..." I told them, not the full truth. Besides surprise, they also ment: daring, and "I like you".
A knock sounded on the door. Evan strode over and opened. A frightened looking second year handed a scroll of parchment to Evan with trembling hands.
"T-this is f-for Miss Blake," the second year explained. Evan thanked him warmly, and shut the door.
"Good thing I didn't go answer the door, he'll probably be intimidated by me," I joked, accepting the scroll from Evan. I was often labled as "intimidating", because I showed such little emotion.
"Dumbledore wants to see me... in his office. And I'm not dressed." I mumbled, pulling my Gryffindor uniform on, buttoning the shirt and probably doing up the tie wrong. " ' Please come to my office at your convenience, but preferably now.' That sentence contradicts itself..." I read, pulling on my shoes. Emily and Evan laughed. I walked out the door, exiting the portrait hole and treading on the now familiar path to Dumbledore's office.
"Damn the password... Chocolate frog? No... Sugar quill! Um..." I guessed. "Look, I have a note, can I just go in?" I said to the stone gargoyle, hands on my hips. "Now I'm talking to stone..." suddenly, the gargoyle stepped aside. The door opened, and Professor Dumbledore and Professor Lupin stepped out.
"Good evening, Miss Blake," Dumbledore said, eyes twinkling.
"Good evening to you, Professor Dumbledore, Professor Lupin." I said, giving a professonal nod of the head.
"Well Remus, that is all. Good night," Professor Dumbledore smiled, addressing Lupin. "Yes, I asked to see you, Miss Blake. Let us enter my office," Dumbledore placed a hand on my shoulder, steering me into his office and going up the spiral staircase. He sat me down in the chair in front of his desk, and sat in his.
"Miss Blake. You know why you are here?" Dumbledore said, smiling gently.
"Yes sir. I still don't know where to go for the transformation though." I said, indicating the involuntary transformation into a giant white wolf every full moon. At other times, I could transform into a wolf at will. As a wolf, I could get hit by spells, and have nothing happen, and my eyes change. But as an extra precaution, Dumbledore wanted me to find a place to transform.
"There is... a building, the most haunted building in Britan, you have heard of the Shack?" Dumbledore questioned.
"Yes sir. Is there a way to get in?" I asked. Of course, I already knew it, for I went to the Shack through the Whomping Willow passage to think often.
"Yes. I think you already know it, Miss Blake." Dumbledore's eyes twinkled again
"Yes sir." I said, giving a nod of confirmation.
"Well, that is all Miss Blake. But take care in the Shack. There may be dangers unexpected..." Dumbledore warned me on my way out.
"I will sir. Thank you for your time." I thanked Dumbledore, and walked back to my dormitory, thinking about these "dangers unexpected".
