Jungkook sat up once again. "What?" His eyes went wide. "As a pup?"
The alpha nodded, his expression sincere and stared at him as if he was some miracle. Then he went on to retell him everything, leaving Jungkook gaping at him in the end. That was truly a miracle. It was as if they were meant to be. Not that he didn't believe that before but to learn his father already knew was somehow comforting to Jungkook. It made sense why his father wanted him to meet Jimin.
"Dad knew," he whispered, brushing a few tears away.
He knew that's why he believed I'd be happy with you. That's why he encouraged me to be selfish. Because he knew I'd never agree to meet you otherwise. He told me I deserved this.
The alpha was there when Jungkook sniffled, rubbing his back and scenting him. He too sat up and showered him with kisses all over his face.
"Your mom is a good person," Jungkook whispered. "Your dad is right. You should tell her."
"Are you comfortable with that?" Jimin asked. "I can push this for at least two weeks."
Jungkook shook his head. "No, don't do that. Misunderstandings lead to overthinking. Your mom must be already in a hard place because her mate and son are hiding things from her. Alpha, if I'm the one in her shoes right now, I know it'd hurt me a lot to even think that you want to hide things from me, especially if it's related to our pup." He blushed a little at the word 'pup' but Jimin was too engrossed in his thoughts to notice. "So...ah, you should tell her before her hurt feelings grew into something else."
Jimin nodded. "You're right." He sighed and let himself fall on the pillow. "I'll text her, but the things I have to tell her isn't something that can be conveyed through texts." He fumbled around for his phone. "I'll tell her I'll go over for dinner this weekend so that we can talk."
Jungkook grinned, his scent blooming with happiness. "Okay." He lied back on his chest, happily listening to his rhythmic heartbeat and relishing his calming scent.
