Ram scowled at Y/N.

Y/N: 'What did I do?'

Ram closed her eyes.

Ram: If you insist.

The Oni stood back up.

Ram: Since you're doing nothing. You can help me with my work.

Ram walked off.

Y/N:... Alright.

Y/N shrugged and followed behind.

Y/N: What needs doing?

Ram: I need to set Emilia-sama's bed. And an extra futon for the merchant.

Y/N:... You need my help with that?

Ram: No. You're going to do it.

Y/N: And you're?...

Ram: Going to watch you and make sure you do it right.

Y/N: Aww~ thanks. You're so considerate.

Ram: Of course. Your Nee-sama is great after all.

Y/N: Wow.... How humble the great Ram is.

After Y/N did Ram's job. While said maid watched and criticised him. The whole gang, pulse a now awake Garfiel. Stood at the entrance of the trials.

Before Emilia entered the tomb, she wanted to talk to lesser spirits for support. Subaru, Ram, and Otto watch.

What were Y/N and Garf doing? Staring at each other... Garfiel didn't like Y/N very much for some strange reason. Ram was there, so attacking the boy was out of the question. The next best thing he could think of was to stare at him.

Y/N, being the sometimes clueless boy he is. Stared back.

Garfiel saw this as a challenge, and didn't break eye contact... But you know how sometimes you can't feel your eyes and don't blink for a while? Yeah, Y/N has that.

Garfiel was really struggling to keep his eyes open.

Ram: What are you two doing?

Y/N turned to Ram.

Y/N: I don't know.

Garfiel celebrated his victory in silence.

Y/N: He was staring at me. And I thought it' be funny to stare back.

Ram looked at the boys.

Ram: Both of you are idiots.

Garfiel: Always got something to say.

Garfiel smiled.

Garfiel: Just how I like it.

Y/N looked at Garfiel a little weirded out.

Garfiel: What?

Nope. He was not dealing with that conversation today.

Y/N: You'll understand when you're older.
