Chapter 72

“In that case, I want you to tell me every single detail about everything that happened between you and yoongi that night.”

Doyun recalled her memories. “My family is poor. At the age of seventeen, I had to come out and work as an escort. Three years ago, I was only eighteen years old. At the time, through the escorting network, I came to know of a man named Cha kunwoo. He often employed my services and I slowly came to know through him that he was a business partner of the Kim Group. One night, yoongi invited kunwoo out to drink. Kunwoo asked me to sit with him. That night, kunwoo and I both drank a lot. We were both nearly unconscious. Yoongi, on the other hand, was fairly sober.”

“When we were drinking in the private room, everything seemed to be proceeding normally. However, yoongi refused to sing. Kunwoo also tried several times to order an escort for him but he kept refusing. Although yoongi didn’t ruin the atmosphere in the room, he was clearly different from kunwoo. He appeared to be very proper and well behaved. Kunwoo even told me that yoongi was a gentleman. He controlled his drinking intake, had good alcohol tolerance and a good taste in drinks. Whenever he visited these sort of places, he never asked for an escort. Additionally... Kunwoo also said yoongi was a virgin.”

Doyun pulled in a drag of the cigarette. “As you know, in our line, we’re very superstitious at times. We believe that when you’re unlucky, sleeping with a virgin man will improve your luck. In the private room, I gave yoongi several hints and tried to seduce him...”

She shrugged. “With my appearance, most men would already have been hooked. I even hinted to yoongi that I would sleep with him without charging any money, yet he remained unmoved. I thought he was pretending to be proper. While kunwoo wasn’t paying attention, I tried to make a move on yoongi. However, the moment I touched his clothes, he grabbed my wrist. The force he used and his fierce, unhappy gaze nearly frightened me to death. My wrist was bruised by him. It was clear that he was the ruthless sort.”

“The one thing that I don’t lack is men. It doesn’t mean much to me if I get rejected by one handsome guy. If it wasn’t because he was a virgin, I wouldn’t have given him so much attention.”

Her gaze was melancholic. “That night, after leaving the private room, kunwoo, yoongi and I all went our separate ways. During that period of time, I was staying in room 106 in skybal hotel. I returned to my hotel and collapsed on the bed. At some point in the night, I felt someone tearing my clothes apart and hitting me. I was in a lot of pain. Somehow, I managed to open my eyes and saw yoongi sitting on my bed.”

Her expression turned agitated. “I tried to ask him what he was doing! But I fainted right after. The next morning, when I woke up, yoongi was on top of me. I realised that something was amiss and called the police.”

doyun gritted her teeth in anger. Her expression also became enraged. “You say, how perverted is yoongi? I offered myself to him without any charge yet he refused. Instead, he chose to come back later on and even used violence against me! If he had only harmed me physically, it would have been easily settled with money. But he actually caused me to lose the ability to have a child!”

She crushed the cigarette in the ashtray while it was half-burnt. “taehyung, was it? As a woman, if I told you that you’ll never be a mother for the rest of your life, and you’ve lost your ability to rear a child, wouldn’t you be angry? Wouldn’t you hate him? Twelve years of jail is not enough for me. I wish I could kill him!”

Taehyung quietly listened to her before bringing up her question. “You said it yourself that yoongi refused your various attempts to seduce him. Perhaps he wasn’t the man who harmed you?”

“How could that be true?” doyun harrumphed. “In this line, I’ve seen all sorts of men. Some men simply dislike it when women take the initiative and enjoy using violence. Sometimes, the more proper they appear, the worst they are! Perhaps yoongi is exactly that type of a man!”
