After the celebratory ceremony, Charles made his way back to the garage, his trophy held aloft with a beaming smile adorning his face. I couldn't contain my own smile; I was bursting with pride. Rushing over to him, I enveloped him in a tight hug, feeling an overwhelming sense of joy and admiration. Eventually, we pulled apart, and I couldn't help but express my pride. "I'm beyond proud of you. You were absolutely incredible this weekend, especially today."

Charles's smile widened even further at my words. "Thank you so much. I owe it all to the team, and to you. Your support means everything to me, having you by my side throughout this journey means everything."

"It's been an incredible journey, hasn't it?" I replied, feeling a sense of pride wash over me. "And it's not just about the wins on the track, but the bonds we've formed along the way."

Charles nodded in agreement. "Absolutely. The victories are sweet, but it's the moments like these, with the people who matter most, that make it all worthwhile."

We shared a smile, silently acknowledging the profound connection we shared, both on and off the racetrack.

The desire to kiss him at that moment was overwhelming, but we both understood the importance of keeping our budding relationship under wraps for now, away from prying eyes. We had agreed on this approach just the day before, and I could tell from his expression that he was on the same page.

Fred came to him, proudly hugging him. "Excellent race Charles, congratulations. Now, let's do the briefing okay?" he said and then left.

"I guess I'll see you later then." he then leaned closer to me and whispered in my ear, "And we can celebrate privately just the two of us." His words sent a rush of excitement through me, and as he pulled back winking at me.

A few moments later, Carlos entered the garage, his trophy gleaming in hand, a wide grin illuminating his face. Engrossed in conversation with his manager and cousin, Caco, he caught sight of me and flashed a friendly greeting. "Hey," he called out, acknowledging my presence with a nod.

"Congratulations, Carlos! You were phenomenal out there," I praised, enveloping him in a congratulatory hug amidst the flashing cameras.

"Thanks a lot," he responded warmly, returning the embrace. "I really appreciate the support."

"I imagine you'll celebrate later." I said

As the commotion around us grew, he added, "Oh I'm definitely planning on celebrating later. Let's see how the night unfolds. But for now, I've got to head to the briefing with Fred. I'll catch up with you later." With a parting smile, he made his way towards the team's meeting area, leaving me to bask in the post-race atmosphere.

Hours later when they finished their briefing and the post interviews and everything else to do with the race, Charles and I headed back to the hotel, to his room to be exact. As we reached the door to his room, a sense of anticipation hung in the air, tinged with excitement and nervousness of what could unfold later.
