You are made to be a character on the page,
Destined to be trapped in your fictional cage,
My obsession may be a phase,
But in my heart it forever stays.
How I wish, to hold you tight,
And never leave you out of my sight,
But as the chapter reaches its end,
My heart for you, begins to bend.
For I know, we cannot be together,
My love will dry like ink on paper,
And though you have a happy fate,
My tears still fall 'cause it's all too late.
I'll miss your touch, your voice, your smile,
As I close the book, just for a while,
My heart aches as I say goodbye,
To my dearest, fictional guy.
Though our story may have a sad ending,
My love for you will have no rending,
My obsession may be a phase,
But in my heart it forever stays....
