25. QUEEN

And without any argument he got up. I thought he would order it but instead he took me and we relished the fresh food and while coming back we enjoyed the ice cream too.

But there is something he is stressed about. He is hiding something from me, I don't know what but for sure there is a thing today he was beaten up by somebody.

Or it's the other way around.

Whatever but right now I'm angry at him, he should not behave with me in such a way I'll make him taste his own medicine.

I darted my eyes at the door he hadn't came out yet, I curled my hand glanced  at myself in the mirror once before walking out of the room. 

My eyes wandered around the garden which seemed to be decorated with lights and beautiful flowers in the entry itself.

I spotted my mother talking with my mother-in -law. Rani maa was chatting with a lady with a bit of a frown on her face.

She's always like this. I wonder why she's so cold, nevermind!!

As I entered I  could feel the eyes on me, of course I'm dressed so beautiful they would want to see.

Hash!!

I walked slowly but it got uncomfortable for me when everyone except my family bowed down to me, I didn't have any idea how to react so I just bobbed my head with an awkward smile.

  
I almost forgot I'm married to a sovereign!

"Mama" I squealed throwing my arms around my mother, she gasp and I heard a chuckle from my mother-in-law, I felt her warmth her arms around me, the peace I got was not be described from words I felt so light as we break apart she kissed my head then shook his head with a glare.

I sighed well knowing her why she did that.

"Behave you are now married but a queen as well" She whispered in my ear, I put up a smile and ignored her words.

"Where is Ansh?" Veer's mother asked as a frown appeared on her face. She looked behind me as we were supposed to come together but how to tell her I'm angry at her asshole son.

"Umm mom he was getting late so he told me to go ahead he will join us" I lied conveniently and she seemed to believe me as she bobbed her head in yes.

Sorry mom!!

"Maithili talk with you mother then come soon, Rani maa wants you to meet some ladies" She told me and then left tapping my cheeks, I sighed now whom she wants me to meet.

"Where is dad?" I asked my mother if her expressions changed which made my heart beat faster. As I got concerned, she shook her head and formed a smile on her face again.

"He's at home, he is busy nowadays with work, don't worry he is fine" She told me but I did not believe her, I felt remorseful the way I talked to him back in the day.

He was my father. I shouldn't have behaved that way to him, I called him too but he didn't pick up my call. I thought he would be here so I can apologize to him for my bad behavior.

I have guessed the difference between him and Veer. There is something going on but why are they not sharing it with me? I have to take serious action now!!
