Chapter 1 - Tarnished

A mans eyes open slowly.... looking around in an old, decrepit building with it crumbling around him, slowly and surely 

He looks down, only wearing a small rag covering his genitals, his long hair rolling down his head as he moves it out of his eyes, looking around more closely as he rises up, rubbing his head in pain 

"Where am I?" He says to himself as he gets up, slowly walking around as he sees someone else in the building, laying in the corner, motionless 

"H-Hello?" He says as he walks slowly over to the person, getting on his knee as he taps on their shoulder

"Hey, you okay?" He says as he slowly shakes the person... until they fall over, blood falling out of stab wounds on the body as the mans eyes open wide in shock, backing up as he breathes hardly 

"Shit..." He says as the woman was beautiful, with white colored clothing on, looking like a nun maybe

Next to the body, a note lays there on a stone like tablet, the man looking at it closely 

"Though the path be broken and uncertain, claim your place as Elden Lord!" 

"Elden lord? What the hell is that?" The man says as he walks towards the exit of the church, the front door, but as he goes to open it, he sees something in the corner of his eye

He grabs the object, a long spear like weapon, grabbing it as he holds it

"For some reason, this feels familar" He says to himself as he opens the door, pushing it open as hes greeted with a beautiful site, looking at the faraway sites as he walks down some stairs in front of him

"Whats going on? Where even am I?" He says to himself again as he keeps on walking along the wooden pathway, eventually getting to a large, wooden bridge as the man slowly crosses it, holding his spear close to his side as he ends up on the other side of it, walking slowly through a large stone like doorway, seeing a large and open area with a stone pathway, leading to a large statue of a beautiful woman, spreading her arms out side as the man walks up to the statue, looking at it

"Hm?" He says as he reads the engraving at the foot of the state

"Queen Marika? I guess she's the leader of this land" He says as he begins to walk away, trying to see where to go....

BOOM!

The man freezes, turning around as he sees a large, grotesque monster like creature standing behind him now, walking with many legs and having many arms, its large head atop of his body as it holds a large shield in one of its arms, and a rapier like sword in the other as the mans eyes widen open, stepping back a bit as his heartbeat starts to race, holding his spear in front of him in a defense like stance

"HEY! GET BACK!" He says scared as he backs up, the creature slowly walking to him, holding its sword in hand as it aims it at the man

"Shit! What do I do?!" He says panicked as he sees a pathway out of the small area, slowly backing up towards it as he eyes down the monster 

"RAHHHHH!" The monster screams suddenly as it LEAPS towards the man, the man hurringly leaping backward and dodging the beast leaping at him, the man now in a full sprint backward as he runs, the creature giving chase fast as the man runs down a stone pathway, his heart racing hard as his hearts stops, seeing a cliff at the end of the pathway hes running on
