They looked in each other's eyes for sometime and Gautami broke the eye contact and said, "I'm sorry."
"Stop saying sorry or I'll go away."
She looked at him and smiled with tears in her eyes.
"I love you Abhi. I thought ki you'll breakup with me."
"Mai kyu breakup karunga Gau? Isme teri koi galti nahi thi-"
"No I mean ab toh meri society mein koi reputation nahi hai so why would you-"
"What are you saying Gautami? Aur tu kabse society ke baare mein sochne lagi? Where is my open minded Gautami jisko logo ke opinions matter nahi karte? And rape hua matlab society mein izzat nahi bachi? Kya bol rahi hai Gau! Khud psychology graduate hoke aisa kaise soch sakti hai? Tu na meri baat sunn-"
"Abhi... I think circumstances changes a person..."
"But fir mai kisliye hu! Mai tera mind firse change karunga! I want my old Gautami back..."
She looked at him and smiled.
"Chalo ek choti si smile toh aayi tere face pe! Come here," he said while pulling her into a warm embrace. "No matter what happens, I will never leave your side, yaad rakhna ye baat, okay?"
They broke the hug after a few minutes and he saw tears in Gautami's eyes. He wiped them off with his thumb.
"Ab no rona, bas."
"Mai ro nahi rahi Abhi, ye toh happy tears hai."
"Chal thik hai! Ab tere uss cousin ko bhi toh dhundna hai! Usko toh mai apne tareeke se dekhunga! Ya direct uske parents ke paas jaana hai?"
"Idk Abhi... I had already given up yesterday..."
"Give up nahi karna Gau! He deserves to be in jail!"
"He's my cousin Abhi..."
"Yesterday he wasn't your cousin Gau..."
"But still, humara unke parents ke saath close rishta hai."
"Toh kya Gautami? Vo banda uska faayda uthake kuch bhi kar sakta hai kya?"
"I don't want to talk about it anymore..."
"I'm sorry..."
"Let's drop this topic?"
"Okay," he said, while thinking of a plan to punish Harsh without her knowing.
