9. Mahashivratri pt.1

Start from the beginning

Mahadev ka din hain unke priye bhakt jan sab hi aayenge.

Just when I was about to withdraw my hand back someone rang the bell, And due to reflex I touched their elbow..

Bhagwan ji shayad maine horlicks miss kr diya tha bachpan mein vo toh bhala ho us insaan jiski vjah se man se hi sahi I could touch that bell.

Moving in to the main hall, I could listen to all the mantras people were chanting, smell of incense sticks, fresh garlands of flowers, the decoration that enhanced the beauty of temple, its architecture.

All was heart warming.

'Peace'

I don't know when it slipped out of my mouth but this is how I feel, everything here is so heavenly.

Then what came in my view is shivling..
I broke into tears and I sat down on my knees, not in an hurting manner but I feel my heart is in bliss..pure bliss.

Baba..mere baba.

Shivratri ki shubhkamnayein.

I bowed down in front of him.

I folded my hands and closed my eyes, all what I wanted was to forget all my problems and be in the moment.

Aaj, main saari purani baatein chodti hun baba, vo log jinhone mujhe dukh pahunchaya un sabhi baaton ki aaj main dil se nikalti hun.

Sacha vrat toh yehi hai na jo jis chiz hume preshan use hum chod dein. Vrat scientifically isliye rakhte hain taaki body purify ho ske..

Toh aaj ka vrat maine apna dil or dimaag purify krne ke liye rakha hai, main nhi jaanti vo sab kyun hua kaise hua, par main jaanti aapka saath or haath jabtak mere saath hai, mujhe kisi se dar nhi hai

Bhagwan un sabhi ke saath acha krein yehi manokamna hai meri, main sabhi ko maaf krti hun or jaane anjane mujhse koi bhul hui ho toh prabhu aap mujhe shama krein, main unse bhi maafi mangti hun.

( Translation: Today I'm forgetting all the old but bad memories that I have stored people who have hurted me somehow I let go all of it.

Scientifically fasting is for the purification of body, but real fasting is to take break from the things which hurt you, so today i'm keeping this fast in order to purify my heart, my mind.

I have no idea why and how all that happened all what I know is till the time I have you by my side and your hand there's nothing that I have to fear.

May God do good to all that's my wish. I forgive all the ones, and ask for your forgiveness if knowingly or unknowingly I have hurted anyone. I ask for forgiveness from them too.)

Tears constantly falling down on my cheeks, now I feel contented, I really do, I open my and eyes and there's only me and my god.

Nothing in between us.

No barriers nothing.

He knows everything.
Now happy tears are streaming down.

I stood up to all the rituals that are done.

Shivling pr jal chadhana.

(Firstly to pour the water on shivling)

Tilak lagana.

(To put some red vermillion )

[I didn't know if we can call it or vermillion or not so please don't get me wrong.]

Mala chadhana.

(To put the garland)

Bhang dhatura, or bel patr arpit krna.

(To put the bel leaf and datura.)

Dhatura is all about poisonous things, but in reality can we give something like that to god? No. He loves us so much can we think to give them something painful?

It's significance is to give all your bad habits, hatred, negativity to god, because he is our crisis solver he can take it and destroy it.

But remember never take it back, once it's gone, it's gone there's no turning back.

Aisa nhi krna hai ki thoda sa rakh lete hain, saara ka saara bhagwaan ko dedo
Dukh, dard sab kuch, fir dekho unki jadu ki chadi kaise chlti hai.

(Translation: Don't keep anything with you give everything all your pain and your hurt, later just sit and see how his magic wand works.)

As I told you earlier that the temple was crowded so I wasn't the only one doing that maybe someone was there too.

When I did all the rituals our hands brushed again and again but I didn't mind.

Neither did I see the person as my head was almost covered with dupatta so I wasn't able to see to the side properly.

I stood up, And how can I forget to whisper something in Nandi maharaj's ear.

I kept the flowers in the feet of all the deities, bowed down to them.

And exited the temple, then I saw the 'make a wish' area. I have never tied anything or made a wish here..but maybe this time.

but maybe this time
