Jalyah walked up to the porch of her house, dried up tears coating her cheeks. She grabbed her keys from her purse and unlocked her front door, immediately being met with the sound of the living room tv playing a football game and the smell of alcohol and weed.
She rolled her eyes, knowing it was just her stepdad and Deshawn probably drinking and smoking again. She walked in the house and closed the door behind her.
When she walked further into the house she was met with the sight of Deshawn and her step dad on the couch like she thought. They both looked over at her and Deshawn smirked before looking back at the game.
The only reason he was at her house was because he needed a place to stay after he got out of jail and Jalyah knew better than to deny him her house because then her step father would've got on her ass and so would Deshawn.
