computer fighters - pt. 8

Start from the beginning

"Wait actually I might need a belt.. actually I need a belt. I do not want my pants falling down at work."

"Right." He laughed and rummaged through his drawers, coming back to the front door and handing it to me.

I put it into the pantloops and pulled it tight.

"Thank you for letting me borrow your clothes.. and a belt" I smiled as i grabbed my tote bag and pulled it over my shoulder

He laughed at me quietly and took a step back
"Right. Okay. You're welcome. Let's get going." He said smiling to himself as he shoved his wallet, phone, and keys into his pocket and opening the door for me again, I shoved phone into into my bag and walked out the door next to Neil. His hand brushed mine. He ever so slightly and slowly took my hand into to his to which I interlocked our fingers. His thumb grazed over mine over and over until he opened the car door for me and we had to stop holding hands.

Maybe it was the morning temperature being at 48° and it was pretty cold out or maybe not, but both of our faces were pink

.

After an hour and a half of sitting around doing nothing but glancing at each other every now and then, smiling, and simultaneously helping the new guy, probably 17, with the tablet. We were able to leave work.

(Just a quick author note. This is the time they're filming computer fighters. So like may-ish 2015 probably. Watch "knock knock" on Neils YouTube channel. His look mixed with the one in computer fighters. Idk how to explain. That's what he looks like in my head. Also just for reference, computer fighters was posted on February 15th 2016, 13 days before spirit phone was released. The trailer for computer fighters was posted on December 2nd 2015.)

We both clocked out and I was standing next to the door, opening my Uber app

"Oh, I was gonna drive you home but you can do that if you want.." he said softly right behind me

I turned around
"Oh um.. well.. I didn't wanna assume you were going to.. so.. I just.." I never liked being that person that relies on everyone else for help

"Can I drive you home..?" He said after I took far too long to finish my sentence

"Yes.. please." I wasn't all that ready to stop being near him.

"Of course y/n." We smiled at each other.
"Okay I'll be out in a second I'm gonna go tell Ella we're leaving." He nodded and walked out to his car

I went over to Avi because Ella and the new kid, Austin or whatever that gays name was, were taking an order

"Hey me and Neil are clocking out, I'm on the schedule for Tuesday so I'll see you in like what... Two-..three days??" She looked me up and down

"Yeah okay... Right." She raised an eyebrow and turned back around, watching Ella and what's his name.

"What? Am I supposed to come in earlier?"
"Hm?" She turns back around

"Pfft oh no. No youre fine just-" she covered her smile with her hand

"What?" I crossed my arms. Am I stupid is there something I'm missing?

"Y/n what are you wearing?" She pointed at my shirt.

I looked down.

"Ohhh right yeah, Neil let me borrow some of his clothes because I didn't have time to go home and change, sorry for being late by the way it's a long story and I gotta get going, also autistic over there or whatever looks like he needs your help"

"Right. So where are your clothes?" She tilted her head

"Oh.. right." I looked down for a second trying to remember
