Recovering: Mikey

When Mikey saw your wound for the first time, he started crying. Harder than you've ever seen him cry. You cuddled him and told him you were fine.

The recovery has been slow, but it's getting there.

It's been about 3 weeks since you got home, and Mikey's been at your side 24/7.

You started going back to the lair a week ago, and you're there now.

You're allowed to walk around now.

Everyone was in the pit, just hanging out and talking.

"I'm gonna go grab a poptart, anyone else want anything?" You said.

"No thanks." Leo said.

"Not hungry." Raph said.

"I'm good, thanks." Donnie said.

"I'll have a poptart, too, please!" Mikey said with his usual smile.

You got up and went into the kitchen. You grabbed two poptarts and headed back into the pit.

You tossed Mikey his poptart.

"Where's Raph?" You ask, noticing he's not there anymore.

"RAAAA!" You heard a loud from behind, and hands on your shoulder.

You turned you jumped and tried to turn to see the person, only to feel a sharp pain where your wound is.

As soon as you felt it, you immediately dropped to the ground and clutched your side.

You felt hot tears go down your face.

Next thing you know, Mikey's at your side, not really sure what to do cuz he's afraid to hurt you.

All four guys were kneeling on all sides of you.

"(Y/n), I'm gonna gave you slowly turn over, okay?" Donnie said since you were mostly on your stomach.

You nodded.

"Guys, help me turn her over. Slowly, and carefully." Donnie said.

They started turning you over.

You cringed the entire time.

Once you were on your side, Donnie pulled up your shirt so he could see your bandages.

He carefully unwrapped them.

You heard him let out a sigh of relief. "It's not too bad."

"Thank god." You heard Raph mumble.

Mikey kissed your forehead.

"It just reopened a like It's bleeding, but not too much. Some of your stitching came apart a little, but I can fix that." Donnie said. "Wait here, and don't move."

"How're you feeling?" Leo asked.

"A little better, but it still hurts like hell." You said.

"(Y/n), I didn't mean for this to-" Raph started.

"It's fine, Raph, you don't need to apologize. On a normal day, that would've been extremely funny." You said and started giggling. "Ow."

Raph chuckled. "Must suck to hurt every time you laugh."

You stuck your tongue out at him.

"I'm back." Donnie said sitting down next to you.

"(Y/n), close your eyes." Donnie said.

"Why?" You asked.

"Please?"

You nodded and did so.

"Mikey, can you put your hand over her eyes to make sure they stay closed?"

"Can do!" He said giving Donnie a thumbs up, then put his hand over your eyes.

You felt some stinging, but after that, you felt numb. You realized why Donnie wanted you to close your eyes.

"Thanks Donnie." You said.

He chuckled. "No problem."

After a few minutes, you had a bandage on again, and Donnie had you sit up.

"You'll probably be numb for the next couple hours, so I suggest you lay down until you don't feel any of the numbing medicine."

"Okay." You said.

Mikey picked you up bridal style.

"I love you, pumpkin." He said.

You snuggled into his plastron and said, "Love you too, Mikestar."

"I'll be here for you, no matter what."
