he looks at us curiously but he looks so tired until his eyes shifted to someone behind me.

he immediately spring to his feet startling me "Isabelle! bumalik ka! aalis na ba tayo dito?" his eyes breaming with tears as relief and hope flood in his eyes.

sa pagkabigla ay napaatras ako.

a hand immediately on my back to ground me. ng lingunin ko ay nakita ko na si kristine pala yon.

pero bigla siyang hinawakan ni koral sa braso habang si isabelle naman ay marahas na inalis ang kamay niya sa balikat ko.

both glaring angrily at kristine.

"dont fucking touch him!" koral spat out like a mad woman that she is, a protective mama bear.

isabelle push herself between me and kristine habang si zynel ay nasa gilid ko, alert with his hand on his gun.

"so you really have the guts to even touch sky after betraying us?" he ask witha humourless laugh.

his expression calm and carefree pero yung ngiti niya? mga mata niya? he's ready to take her down.

i sigh after recovering from their surprise action pati na din sa batang kamukhang kamukha ni sora. "let her go koral" utos ko pero di ko inaasahang sisigaw ang bata na nasa likod namin.

"WAG NIYO SYANG SASAKTAN NAGMAMAKAAWA AKO! AKO NALANG PO WAG SIYA GAGAWIN KO PO LAHAT! W-WAG SIYA PLEASE PO!" my heart breaks as i face him back.

mahigpit ang kapit niya sa rehas ng pinagkukulungan niya na tila gustong kumawala to save kristine from us.

without second thoughts i grab my dagger from my arm band and struck the lock on his cell hard.

it breaks immediately.

dahil sa biglaan kong kilos ay napatalon siya paatras at napaupo sa sahig.

because of his reaction, i immediately regretted my impulsive move.

i slowly kneel down, hindi ko binuksan ang pinto despite it not being locked anymore.

it might scare him.

i didnt say anything, i just stared at him, hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala sa nakikita ko, he's the exact mirror of my sora.

and as i stare at him longer parang makikita ko yung anino ng batang niligtas ko years ago. i can see my scared sora in him when i first saw him.

ganito ba yung mararanasan ng anak ko if i hadn't made it in time that day? will he experience worst?

i didnt budge for god knows how long, not even when a dozen sets of footsteps came down the staircase that echoes all over this dark cold place.

"general sky" commander kaden called just as the same time that rowan cael kneel beside me and utter in confusion "he looks like sora"

i nodded despite not saying anything, i was lost at words.

may kapatid ba si sora? and i failed to save him? was he there too? was i too late for him?

a familiar sets of hand grab me by my shoulder as he whisper in my ears "celestin we'll get to the bottom of this lets go first, pierre and kamir will take care of him"

i nodded, trusting his words immediately.

i let him guide me to my feet, i turn to him and smile weakly "grazie" i said to him before gathering my composure in that quick second before facing commander kaden.

fear and worry enveloped my heart but i did not let that show.

i want to see my son as soon as possible.
