A story in which a barista/college student falls in love with a professional Hockey player~
I woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring. 6 am. The coffee shop that I work part time at opens at 8, so this gives me plenty of time to get up, get ready, and eat before I have to leave. I am 45 minutes from the coffee shop because I live at an apartment complex just off of my college campus at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Once I finally got up from my bed I threw on one of my soft, comfy robes and slipped on my pink slippers. I then walked out of my bedroom and into the kitchen to begin making my smoothie. Since I work at the coffee shop I usually never make coffee here in my apartment because I can get a free coffee when I get to work. I wanted to try a new flavor in my smoothie this morning so I decided to look around on Pinterest for a different recipe. After scrolling through Pinterest I found an easy recipe with the ingredients that I had in my refrigerator. I got everything out and measured before putting it all in my blender. After my smoothie was finished in the blender I poured it into my clear glass cup. While I drank my smoothie I turned on the tv in my living room area and listened to whatever was playing.
After I drank my smoothie it was time for me to start getting dressed/ready for the day. I decided to wear a black t shirt, some dark jeans, and my cream colored sweater. I brushed my teeth, fixed my hair, and then applied my makeup before getting dressed; I'm always super clumsy when it comes to getting ready so I do my makeup first before my outfit. Once I was dressed I looked in my closet to find some comfortable shoes to wear, after what felt like forever but in reality was only 2 minutes I grabbed my brown sandals. New Jersey weather can be so unpredictable in August.
I checked my time one more time on the clock before grabbing my purse and keys. After locking my apartment I walked down to my car that was parked in the parking garage. Once I got in my car I turned the car on and plugged in my phone to the charger. I then clicked shuffle on my playlist before getting on the road.

I made it to the coffee shop with time to spare so I decided to scroll through my Instagram and pick a selfie to post. Once I found a picture that I liked I came up with a fun caption before posting it. It was now officially time for me to clock in, so let's see how today goes!
