Daddy's Best Friends

Prologue

October 31, 1986: Christ Hospital, Chicago Illinois.  17-year-old Maranda Coleson screamed in pain as a powerful contraction hit her. For the last seventeen hours she had been in labor. Her boyfriend, Claus Singer, had been sitting by her side the entire time. Eight months ago, when the high school sweethearts discovered that they were expecting, they were both frightened and excited to be parents. It wasn't long after the couple found out that they were going to have a baby, Claus proposed to Maranda.

Amongst their large group of friends, two brothers, Thomas and Spencer O'Callahan, who have been childhood friends with Maranda, couldn't help but be there for their friend.  Finally, after eighteen and a half hours later, Maranda gave birth to a beautiful baby girl she named Azkadellia.  Maranda held her baby girl close to her chest as she silently cried in happiness, Claus sitting on the bed next to the two loves of his life.  When Thomas and Spencer came to visit their friends, both brothers immediately fell in love with the baby girl. 

As Azkadellia grew into an energetic young child, both Thomas and Spencer couldn't help but come to adore her. However, when Azkadellia, or Az as her father and the brothers called her, was five her mother was killed in a car accident.  A truck lost control one rainy night, lost control and hit Maranda head on killing her instantly.  With the death of his best friend and love of his life Claus through himself into his work to become a famous fashion designer leaving Az to be raised by her nanny and the two brothers. 

Despite losing her mother at a young age and her father hardly ever being around, Az became a straight A student where she was able to graduate high school at sixteen and started her studies at becoming a trauma surgeon.  Claus was always proud of his daughter and knew that if Maranda were alive, she would be just as proud of her daughter as he was. What Claus wasn't expecting was for Thomas and Spencer to grow closer to his daughter. What he never expected was for his two best friends to fall in love with his daughter or for Azkadellia to return their feelings. 

When Az returns home for the summer before her twentieth birthday, she isn't surprised that her father would be gone all summer for fashion shows in Europe. But what she wasn't expecting was for both Thomas and Spencer to be around the entire time her father would be gone.  What trouble could the young woman get into with two handsome men who so happen to be her father's best friends?  Only time would tell for Azkadellia and the two brothers.
